I got the 1.1 advanced Wild Run'r. I converted a mountain bike to my first road bike by purchasing a set of these. I have to admit at first these were REALLY light. They rolled very nice and got me from point A to point B. Then I finally got my first flat. It was a staple to the side wall. So that sucked. I thought it was my luck so in order to decrease the chances of my getting another flat I got a set of "Stop flat" strip liners. So I lined the inside and then it was good for another dozen or two miles. Then pinch flat. Next time sidewall puncture flat. So 3 flats within a 2-3 week time period all within 100 miles. I will admit that these tires are AWESOME. They roll very well and the feel awesome. Basically an instant mountain to road bike conversion kit in two tires. When they worked they worked well. It is when you see its flaws that it really does suck...

Smooth, quiet

terrible quality

I was enjoying my 5th ride on these until today, just a little shard of glass cut over a half inch out of the tire on the front & the tube was a lost cause. My slime patches were barely enough to cover the slice on the tube & I also used a patch on the inside of the tire do to the size of the slice. I used a dollar bill also in between the tube and tire. luckily I was only 25miles from my vehicle. This tire needs to be more reliable. I have used other Michelin tires for 1000's of miles without issues. My guess is they are cutting corners to make it smooth and this light. It unfortunate, I am not the only only on the web that has also ran into this issue in such a short time frame. I was running the Michelin Sport Pilot's in 26x2.0 prior with no issues had about 6k before replacing with no flats not even once. This tire is 26 x 1.4 and I have only 222miles on it and its done for, arrived home and tire is bulging outwards. What a disappointment. Rise at your own risk.

Light weight and fast

I find tire both light weight and fast in also as stated in its website for Michelin . if you to click under size it says that's this tires also tubeless ready. Michelin is not marketing the tires as tubeless but they are tubeless
easy to mount and with the tire sealant any chance of a flat is reduced . This seems to be the first to bliss ready road tire that Michelin is making so check out their website for yourself .

WEIGHT, roundness, smooth rolling.

Kinda hard to find.

OK, this is after having gone on just one ride with them having previously used Serfas Seca and Gatorskins. This is for the 1.1" advanced model which can be had for a decent price online. Michelin recommends some really low air pressure for my weight at 155lbs. Something like 60-70psi on a 1.1" tire is a no no for me and I was a bit surprised at a recommended max of only 87psi when my Serfas Seca 1.25" could go 100psi and the Gatorskins higher yet.I pumped them up to 85psi and went for a ride here in Victoria BC on mostly dry paved roads, some in bad condition , also some hardpack cycling trails. There was a noticable differance right away. they just rolled smoother. I was riding an extra gear many times due to these tires which is exceptional in my opinion. Going up hills out of the saddle, my wheels felt more responsive and less energy absorbing. Ditto for short hard sprints-instant response. So I am very pleased but I should be as these are Michelins fastest 26" tires. My only beef was putting the tires on-think Gatorskin...very difficult. Obviously ,I cannot give these 5 yet because this is a one ride impression so durability and puncture resistance has not been established but frankly I dont expect too much from a 200gr tire. As for punctures I think it has more to do with luck because glass and metal will penetrate ANY tire.

Silent.Surprisingly smooth ride for 90 psi(1.4 model).Really fast , as a reference almost as fast as the specialized turbo pro(and this one is of the best available in slick tires, at 125 psi).The rubber seems quite strong, no marks, cuts,etc.
Very well balanced (no movement of the bike when turned upside down and wheel spinning).Its very grippy.

Compared to the Continental Sport contact 1.6, the Wild runner is considerably faster,much more smoother and grippier.The continental was unbalanced.Four of them.The bike upsidedown balanced, may be this has an effect on rolling resistance at high speeds.
The Turbo Pro is better, but the ride is very uncomfortable.The knuckle are in pain with these in a pitted surface.The wild runners are at home with pitted surfaces.

So it seems the Michelin wild runner is quite good in everything.The only thing that remains to chech is punture resistance.

Cheap, tough, wearing well, relatively light

very tight on the rim (Sun Rhyno lite). It requires steel tire irons to get them off and on.

Compared to the Kenda's these are much better tires. They just do the job, and you forget about them. I'm a mountain biker and I'm picky about my knobby tires, but not so much about road tires.

The Kenda's were constantly flatting on me due to broken glass and broken mussel shells on the side of the road (New Zealand is notorious for this). Looking closely at the Kenda's you could see the tire was slashed and punctured in dozens of places on each tire. So far I haven't had a single puncture in over three months of daily commutes (30 km) on these tires and I don't see any cuts in the rubber. That seems pretty good in comparison. The Kenda's also wore out very quickly, but these are doing much better. The grip is roughly the same, not bad for a slick.

I got these for $19 NZ each, which is a good price and I'm very happy so far. They're also pretty light for a wire bead tire, which helps over a long commute.

Overall a very good slick for a 26" mtb rim.
