Bottom Line:
Get them while you can as word on the street says since BLopes is back over at Kenda, once they're gone, they're gone. The little bird says Maxxis will no longer make 'em. Overall, good tire. As sand is part of life in the desert, washing out in turns is always a possibility. Based on the lug design, once they find something to bite on, highly likely you will be able to recover the front wheel. I oersonally think it's a great front mount however would blow aXX in the rear. Not enough lugs to hook up with. If you want a solid tire to ride mud, this isn't it. With the cut down knobs in the center and the tight lugs on the sidewall edge, she's built to roll and corner, not slip though the wet stuff.

Strengths:
Street traction, street manners, really quiet, smooth, good in mud(only when brand new), good in all xc conditions,looks.
Weaknesses:
BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD TREADWEAR AND I BOUGHT THE 60a compound. Rolling resistence is alright but if you move from a 2.1 you can tell the difference but the handling increase and the looks.

Bottom Line:
This is my 1-2 month update on these tires.First of all these tires were not abused in anyway just used in Xc conditions i rarely ever skidded with them. After about 1 1/2 months they're are pretty much served their purpose and done. When i first took this tires 'muddin' they were great but after two months of a normal commute to school and hitting the trails on the weekends they have little to no tractions in slippery conditions PERIOD. I just went to Taranchula trail and i was spinning realy badly in 1,5!!! they did manage to clean themselves quite well but if you slowly prance through the mud they wont clean. YOu need to spin the tires hard and fast for them to clean, didn't matter though i was still slipping like crazy. To sum it up i was only about .5 miles into the trail and when i went about 1/4 mile in the muddy section i was exhausted and the extreme traction loss got old real fast. They were really cheap so im satisfied.

When i first got the the tire and took it trail riding it was awesome and the grip and performance was great. IMO the compound was is a little soft(hence the grippyness) so the treadwear suffers. THe Mud traction is still awesome and if you ride this thing good it'll ford every stream and mud pit. If you following close to someone who has these tires, beware cuz they do fling big big chuncks of mud.

Very good traction around corners. Look well rude.
Weaknesses:
Tires wear very fast. Mine are bald at the moment. Dreadfull in deep mud, wheelspin like crazy!! Fairly heavy so brakes are less effective.

Strengths:
I have the ST supertacky as a front tyre. Awesome braking+ steering at slow speeds for northshore + tracking due to grip + flat profile.Side knobs are well supported.Good volume for landing jumps.
Weaknesses:
Not fast rolling -it is 2.35 inch.Not for nontechnical xc racing. Dont ride on sealed roads if you want them to last.
