from Leicester, UK Date Reviewed: September 15, 2002 | | Duration Product Used: | 2 Years | | Purchased At: | MotoSport, Cranleigh, UK | | Strengths: | Lockout, stiff, came with the bike | | Weaknesses: | Short travel, lockout not 100% effective | | Bike Setup: | Giant Team MCM, full XTR - was the 97 Team race bike - EXACT! | | Bottom Line: | These forks are getting long in the tooth now. I recently had the seals changed (after a long wait for spares form Marzocchi) but even a couple of months down the line, they don't lockout completely and vibrations allow air into the fork. Before ya know it you're riding at half the height. For what I ride, this fork isn't enough. I need better lockout and longer travel for offroading...something a bit more plush. Since these forks came out, technology has moved on leaps and bounds. Best bet - get something new. I know I'll be doing that soon. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
