Favorite Trail:Any long downhill run.
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Purchased At:Local
Strengths:Marzocchi forks are more reliable.
Similar Products Used:Monster-T,Boxxer WC,66RC.
Bike Setup:Santa Cruz BULLIT.Beefy parts.
Bottom Line:Easy to replace the oil & wiper seals.I went with Enduro seals.Used Bel-Ray 7w oil filled to 275cc in each leg. (Max is 300cc i think). Integrated stem is the only way to go. Supple suspension out of any fork i have ever used. It might bottom with me until i get some X-Firm springs.I prefer stiff. I weigh 190# + gear.
Overall great fork.It looks pretty great, probably the best looking fork out there. Soaks up rocks & roots better than any fork i have ever used. Keep fresh seals in it to avoid saturating the front brake with fork oil.My seals needed replacing, but i rode anyway's 7 a drop must have made them finally give out.No front brake the rest of the day-so keep good seals in them to avoid that scenario!

Strengths:I'm tired of all the little girls below crying about this fork being too heavy. Mine is a 2002 and it's only one pound heavier then a comparable 2006 model fork. After all it's a Downhill fork and if you ride it XC then that is your dumba$$ fault. Most people who actually trail ride this fork don't whine about how heavy it is. Now that we got that over with, on to the performance: You just can't beat a marzocchi. I've had this fork for 4 seasons and it is still buttery smooth. Once you get it set-up for your weight and riding style it eats up little bumps and big hits alike. Once a month you do need to bleed the air build up out of the fork - there are little allen screws on the top of the fork that allow you to do this easily. If you don't the fork will stiffen up like it's on viagra!!! I have not had any problems and the fork is great for racing and freeriding, but it probably is more of a race fork then a hucker. It is nice to be able to change the ride height without shortning the travel (big positive of the upside forks). Tracts great, very stiff front end. Stanchion guards look good and protect the front of the fork great. If you are a DH'er and find one at a good price it's worth every penny.
Weaknesses:Stanchion guards do not protect the back side of the leg and rocks do bounce up and strach it. This can sometimes lead to leaky seals which someone below complained about.
Similar Products Used:Boxxer, Monster T, White Bros. DHR, Foes F1
Bike Setup:2003 Intense M1, Shiver fork, Mavic 321's, Romic rear shock, DT Swiss hubs, Hayes, SRAM, MRP, etc....
Bottom Line:The bottom line is that this is a great fork that can stand up to years of riding and/or racing. If you like moto style forks then this is your fork.

Duration Product Used:1 Year
Purchased At:Ebay
Strengths:It's strong, plush and overall very nice. Good for DH
Weaknesses:the guards, ive had rocks get behind them and scratch my stentions. the flex is not that bad like everyone says ive only had a problem with this once and i got my tire stuck in a water line on the trail and it tweaked and bent the fork but was easly fixed by loosening the bolts and it poped back, mines an 04 and i took it to the shop and they said that the drop outs leak and it had to be sent in it is a malfunction by marzocchi so they replaced it for free but will make you loose oil and you have to pay for a rebuild
=(

Strengths:build quality, low maintenance, strength, marzocchi smoothness.
Weaknesses:Suffer a little from lateral flex but it's not noticable when riding.
Similar Products Used:Lots.
Bike Setup:M1, shivers, mavic, cheiftans, hayes.
Bottom Line:I've had these forks for about two years and they've always been great, especially on the big hits. But I'd always noticed that the rebound damping did'nt seem to do much, and they were'nt quite as supple as boxxers over the small stuff. After a recent phone call to Marzocchi I've now changed the standard medium spring that comes with the fork, to the soft aftermarket spring. I've also changed the 15wt oil (put in by a 'professional' tuning shop) to a 7.5 wt, (Marzocchi said the damping system is not designed to work with anything heavier than 7.5wt) The difference is amazing, this is the best the fork has ever worked. The standard springs are to hard for anyone over 12 stone (convert that yourselves) the damping system now has massive adjustment ! wind it on and compress you forks and they stay there. The way the fork now handles the small stuff is now superb, these small changes have made this great fork into undoubtedly the best DH fork on the market. If you're already riding shivers and are under 12 st, then I reccommend you replace the standard springs with a soft set and change the oil - new, better forks.

They deserve 5 chillis standard, Set up they're worth 10.

Strengths:Everything about them.
Bottom Line:Fantastic forks.

There are always people who are not happy with the saying oh they flex or the air build up, well the truth is its a DH fork thus used for a max of 5min sprint or freeriding for the afternoon. ITS NOT A XC fork and should not be expected to work as one.

They only flex when the seals internally need changing but then again I bet the people who complain about the flex regularly check theres. All forks will flex naturally.and the bigger the bending moment the more the flex feels with 190mm of travel it feels a lot but its tiny. if it did not flex it would be as hard as diamond and fracture...
Go out and BUY some now. They are the best. All the pro DH'ers who can chose their own sponsors always choose them.

Duration Product Used:1 Year
Strengths:Super Strong and not too heavy considering the amount of oil in them.
Weaknesses:Air build-up, Weak axle bolt. My forks were also assembled wrong.
Similar Products Used:All sorts
Bike Setup:Norce VPS Team with modifications
Bottom Line:Great fork but anoyed that my set were assemled incorrectly. The fork internals are the same as the 2002 model but were assemled as the 2001 model. This means the preload spacer was in the incorrect position and I could't set my oil height correctly. Once I relised it was quickly rectified and my suspension was dialed perfectly.
Also I have to remember to bleed the air out of my forks after every big day out.
Marzocchi customer service could do with a kick in the bum.
After getting my Forks setup, they're the best thing since sliced bread.

Bottom Line:I LOVE THIS FORK. SO PLUSH. I LOVE THIS FORK. I WAS GONNA GO FOR THE MONSTER.T BUT I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT THE MONSTER WAS TOO BIG FOR ME. I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE. KRAZY INVERTET FORK DESIGN, SUCKS UP EVERY LITTLE BUMP ON THE TRAILS. NOT VERY HEAVY. I DON'T FEEL ANY FLEX AT ALL WHEN I STAIRGAP WITH THIS FORK. ITS THE BEST FORK THAT'S EVER MADE IN THE WORLD. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE MONSTER.T......THEN GO FOR THE SHIVER. I WOULD RECOMMAND THIS FORK TO EVERYONE.

Strengths:2001 model,The fork is cheaper than Rockshox, lighter than Monstor T and has loads of travel look moto. They have fork guards as standard (good idea). Hit almost anything.
Weaknesses:A little heavy? not to bad though. they do seem to flex when you try to by twisting bars. but can't notice it when riding. mine were first lot, had no guards.

Bottom Line:The forks are way better than my friends Boxxers, but they dont think so (silly them). I went to france and did some big World cup style tracks, and the weight was no longer an issue, they were totally perfect all week, much better tahn any other forks out there, They are a bit much for some UK DH, but seem super strong. I have had no problems at all, not like the other reviewer did. The turned me into a superstar on the rough stuff. you will not regret getting a pair. I know too many people who have had quality issues with Boxxers, not so many Marzocchis though. I have just fitted them and thats it, perfect.
