Favorite Trail:That one with jumps
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $180.00
Purchased At:mtbr.com classifieds
Strengths:Buttery smooth travel. I am a relivily big guy (6'1" 200lbs), and I do some dirt jumping, and that fork sucks up landings like crazy.
Weaknesses:It sucks up pedaling power a little bit, but I am crazy, so it doesnt matter. Also it refuses to go out on dates with me, though I have tried, time and time again.
Bike Setup:Mr.T on a GT Outpost.
Bottom Line:This fork is amazing, and well worthy of 5 Flamin' chilis. Once it toss some extra-heavy springs on it, till death do we part.

Favorite Trail:A-LINE!! (whistler)
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $300.00
Purchased At:ebay
Strengths:STILL the stiffest 4/5" fork on the market, even though its from 98, its amazingly plush and perfect for urban riding, great adjustments, you can even go from single corwn to dual crown!!
Weaknesses:not enough travel for me, but for urban riding and around town and triailing its perfect
Similar Products Used:monster T (2001, 2002), Shock works "THE BIG ONE", Z1 (wedge, fr, dropoff), junior T (02, 03), shiver SC, shiver DC
Bike Setup:balfa bb7 with shiver DC's, gazzy 3.0, hayes, atomlab rims
Bottom Line:bottom line is that if you are looking for a 4 or 5 " fork , this is the one you are looking for, it can handle drops probably up to about 10 feet, but would need heavier oil, you can go from single crown to dual crown, it has marzocchis amazing SSV, its a perfect fork, if i built up an urban hardtail or a 5 + 5" fs for around town, this would be the first fork id get again, the only reason i sold the one i had was because i went DH.

Date Reviewed: June 14, 2002
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $380.00
Purchased At:lbs
Strengths:very very plush that you will think that you could easily bottom it out but it will never bottom out. i thought the default spring was to soft for me but i was wrong its the way it works. eats anything on the ground. this is the plushiest fork i ever ride plushier than my 80cc honda mx stock fork.
Weaknesses:there's a little amount of flex. yeah i know this is a double crown but believe me there is a flex! aside from that this rules!
Similar Products Used:i haven't ridden a boxxer to compare
Bike Setup:GT ruckus frame with this fork. mountain mix components
Bottom Line:if you like jumping, hucking, freeriding, urban assualting and wants a double crown fork and your the kind of person who doesn't whine about its weight then you need this. occasional trail riding, downhilling on hardtail!

Favorite Trail:DH stuff
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:20mm through axel, detachable upper stantions (single or dual crown action!) no bullsh*t M arch, 4" is perfect for DJ/DS
Weaknesses:Hard to find.
Similar Products Used:99 z1, 00 z1, 01 z1, 98 jr.t, 00 monster, 01 psylo, 01 boxxer
Bike Setup:Balfa bb7, boxxer, dee-max, hope 04s, 24/7 cromo cranks, raceface ss dh headset.( bought the mr.t for a second bike, hoping for a specialist)
Bottom Line:This fork is one of the best things zocchi ever put out. The 98' mr.t has some of the best features in a fork that have since been scratched for lighter features. How many 4" forks have a real 20mm through axel? Not that bullsh*t qr20 stuff, are REAL through axel. How many forks do you know that you can take the upper stanctions off and run it single crown? Everyone tell zocchi to stop screwing around and bring back some of the great forks of their past like the 98 mr.t, 98-00 handbuilt super-ts. I'm just lucky to have found one in great shape for a great price.

Submitted by Joe a Downhiller from Lake City, NV
Date Reviewed: August 30, 2000
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $500.00
Purchased At:Bike Shop
Strengths:Relatively light, plush smooth action, very rigid and stiff especially with the 20mm axle. Easy to change oil, preload and rebound adjusters work well and have a wide range of adjustment. Disc/ v-brake compatability, seals have never leaked and everything stays tight.
Weaknesses:The clamps that hold to the steerer tube and upper stanchions are pretty small (4.5mm), but I've never had a problem with them, stock springs may be a little soft if you are extra heavy but like I said the preload adjusters are great so they might take care of it. All in all a great fork!
Similar Products Used:Marzocchi Z1 dropoff, Jr. T
Bike Setup:Kona Stab with 5" travel
Bottom Line:A great fork if you don't need 6" or more of travel. It is good for freeriding and general riding, I would reccomend it especially because it is reasonably priced, you can get a brand new Mr.T for $599 from Cambria Bikes.

I pitty the foo who don't try this fork!

MMMMMM Like Buttah! I absolutely love this fork.
I'll go ahead and use all the appropriate adjectives and descriptive phrases now: smooth, stiff, no stiction, soaks up everything...yadda yadda yadda.
Truth be told, this fork kicks butt. ride it and you'll know,
ride something else and you'll be passed.

I just couldn't get over the color of this fork ( mango just screams to me,I guess). When I hit bumps, the wheel seemed to get closer to me- and when I caught air, my wheel seemed to drop away somewhat. That's all I really remember from the test cuz I hit a tree going real fast (@50mph....I think). Guess I shoulda looked up, my bad.

Marzocchi's sticking to it's well thought out and importantly well-performing
coil/oil technology is smart and good for (us) me. Some companies (SID=Stupid
Idiot Technology) are still trying to shave off a couple of grams, some seem to
concentrate on looks ($600 fat rigid zzyzx..), but Marzocchi's forks WORK, man,
get it to your head!!! If you downhill, there's only one question.: -Which Marzocchi fits my budget? -Junior T., Mr. T., or Monster T...

Yes, it's true -you can't help it but you gotta jell out your joy after each
time you get off your bike if you're running the Mr.T., that's how well it
performs. It costs a fortune over here in Easter Europe, about the whole year's
income of an averagely paid worker in Slovakia, and it's a special order with
a 4-month waiting time but i guess that's how seriously you've got to be envolved and be wanting to use the best componentry going down the hill.

If the Mr. T is not far the BEST downhill fork on the market today, it could
only be because the Monster T. is out now. But I'm not gonna upgrade since
this fork performs just perfect. I don't have the need for anything better
because I can't name anything that the Mr.T. is missing. It just eats the
trails.

A kickass fork that actually WORKS !!! I've actually ridden it for 7 months now,
I actually have grounds of comparison (the forks I've owned before:RockShox DHO,
Manitou Palmer, Manitou X-Vert-R and Junior T.). If you don't have the bux for
the Mr. right now, get the Jr., but the Mr. T. is gotta be the best DH fork out
there today.

REMEBER THAT YOU HAVE TO SET UP THE SUSPENTION FOR YOUR WEIGHT. IF YOU DONT THAN YOU MAY GET A SHOCK THAT IS TO SOFT OR TO HARD. IT NEEDS TO BE SET UP FOR YOUR WEIGHT AND RIDING STYLE. ALSO REMEMBER THATA HEAVER SHOCK STICKS TO MOTHER EARTH MUCH BETTER THAT A SHOCK THAT BOUNCES OF EVERY LITTLE PEBLEIN THE ROAD . IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO SET UP YOU SUSPENTION (NOMATTER WHAT SHOCK YOU HAVE) CALL THE FACTORY OR GO SEE THEM AT THE RACES. THE GUYS AT MARZOCCHI WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU LIKE YOU ARE A WORLD CUP RACER. I HAVE 3 MARZOCCHI SHOCKS (ONE BEING THE NEW MONSTER T) AND I DONT HAVE TO TEAR THEM APART AFTER EVEY RIDE. THEY ARE EASY TO TUNE AND PLANE AND SIMPLE THER ARE THE BOMB PS. I WILL LET ALL OF YOU KNOW WHAT I THINK OF THE NEW MONSTER T.

These forks were a complete surprise to me when I first bought them. They were not the claimed 4.6lbs weight that one of my friends had told me but weighed in at an astonishing 5.9lbs! It is a good thing that the forks are damn good and responsive. These suckers are meant for small to medium hits and will swallow them whole. It also copes with big hits but sometimes bottoms out if you have them set up soft. These forks helped me win my first local DH race after progressing from XC. I beat everyone. SOS to all you moto-X riders out there!!

I go in many downhill races on Mt. Fuji and this fork is not worth the 2,000,000 yen that I payed for it. The preloads busted and it bottoms out like a crazy son of a bi-atch. I would stick with Manitou's or rock shox BOXXER because they have great reputations for being quality fork.

Bottom Line:

I used these forks at an XC race and they made me win it. They perform so well uphill and the travel is just right for those 5 kilometre vertical ascents. These triple-clamps make the fork steer as though it is a rigid fork. I was somewhat apprehensive about buying them though, being £1000. But I thoguht of standing on that podium with Miguel Martinez and Rune Hoydahl.

I bought these forks and I think that they are the dogs. I bought them because of their looks, good reviews and overall toughness. Bas De Bever won the first world cup round last year on them, this says to me that they are a humdinger of a fork. A personal friend of mine, Tim Ponting recommended these awesome forks to me. Yes, they live up to the great name of Mr. T. You won't get them in no damn chopper. Shut up Fool. The nads of the fork world, I love them!!

Date Reviewed: November 14, 1997
Bottom Line:

Very, very plush. I have only a few complaints about this fork. First, the stanchions are not one piece, the upper stancions screw onto the lower stanchions. Second of all, this fork weighs in excess of 6 pounds and only has 110mm (4.3inches) of travel. This fork is exactly the same internally as the Z1, but on the outside, it has a through axle and dual crowns. There are 6 travel forks out there that weigh the same (Foes, Hanebrink, White Bros.) The nice thing about this fork is that there is absolutely no stiction. It is very, very plush, and very stiff. On really rough terrain there is some noticeable deflection forward and backwards. Laterally though, it is stiffer than hell with the 20mm through axle, 30mm stanchions, and the dual crowns. If you are looking for a fork that weighs a little less, check out the Z1, probably a better choice for a long travel cross country or freeride bike. The problem with this fork is that it has a downhill weight without the travel. Overall though, a very good product if you don't mind the weight.

Bottom Line:

First of all I'd like to clear this up a little; they have no review spot
for the Super T so here I am on the Mr.t spot. Basically this fork absolutley
took my breath away when I first rode it. It had more travel then I could ever
use. But the plushness of the thing is the most amazing part. I am use to an
Indy C so you can see where I'm coming from being shocked at the quanity and
quality of the forx. So there I was at Epic Sports(look for the link on mtbr)
and Aaron busted out his new Ventana downhill bike complete with the new
super t forx. I timidly asked if I could ride it across the shop as I had
never ridden a downhill bike before. He said hell, take her outside and run
over some curbs I agreed and took her outside. Well at first I was a little
timid because I didn't want to dump on his new ride and all but, I started
slowly poking over some curbs. The plushness of the fork quickly instilled a
sense of confidence in me and I started speeding up. Well you can see where
this is going so I'll cut to the chase; by the time I was done trying her out
I was slamming over 8 inch curbs as fast as I could will that beast to go and
marveling at the smoothness of the fork. So basically if you have the money I
do suggest you get one. However the weight is the only problem, I would
estimate it at about 7-8lbs.
