Date Reviewed: March 22, 2009
Duration Product Used:3 months
Purchased At:stock
Strengths:Plush
Weaknesses:Not progressive in the compression damping, Compression adjuster doesnt click (turns like a screw)
Similar Products Used:Noleen smart shock, Rock shox, Marzocchi Roco WC
Bike Setup:Ibex FR-1, Marzocchi 888, Marzocchi Roco WC, XT 9, Hayes, Triple chain rings up front
Bottom Line:Good performer at slow to medium speeds, I had to do some extra tuning to get a little progression out of the shock. At slow to medium speeds it is very plush but as you go fast the shock will let you know its limitations. It is an inexpensive shock and is very good for cross country type riding. The air valve is tucked in out of the way and only looses a minimal amout of air when disconecting a shock pump. I could adjust the rebound on the fly and it had a clicker so you got a solid indicator when turning the knob. The compression adjuster on the other hand was like turning a screw. For the price a good performer, seems reliable to. My roco blew an oring right off the bat !

Date Reviewed: March 18, 2006
Duration Product Used:3 months
Purchased At:Came on my Brodie Nemesis
Strengths:SPV- smooth no pedal bob
Weaknesses:none so far
Bike Setup:'06 Brodie Nemesis
Bottom Line:so far i like the smoothness and feel of an air shock. was a little worried having an air rather than coil rear shock but seem to be holding up fine. It doesn't have that dead feel my old 2001 Fox RC shock had ( which didn't have propedal)
