Submitted by Sean a Weekend Warrior from Tokyo
Date Reviewed: February 23, 2001
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Strengths:spins free
zero maintenance
OEM
Weaknesses:OEM
Similar Products Used:LX, XT
Bike Setup:Kona 98 Explosif, Z2 forks
Bottom Line:Unlike Shimano stuff, it does not require any maintenance at all. Using replaceable cartridge bearings and a rather simple sealing system, it just keeps on spinning.

Replacement cartridge bearings are a little hard to find (SKF bearings), but you don't need them!

On the down side, I have noticed the spokes get bent at the flanges because the flanges are not canted towards the rim (like most hubs).

No problems whatsoever. They rip!
