Strengths:I upgraded the stock shock for the Roco TST R, but I am finding the shock is not holding its air pressure after a few days. No fault to the bike.
Weaknesses:A little heavy and bulky in tight trails. I find the chain slap on the frame annoying and find that it binds in the crank case when it comes off.
Similar Products Used:Norko 6
Bike Setup:08 Kona Stinky, Roco TST R
Bottom Line:I find that this bike is great for a little cross country too. It's heavy on the uphills but still chugs along well. Very fluid ride and smooth on the drops.

Strengths:boost valve on the dhx3 rear shock is great rims are super tough and look great and through axle in the front is super stiff
Weaknesses:fork tough but adjustment arent the best brakes arent as powerful as id like
it should have isgc mounts or should make rear triangle more chainguide compatible
Similar Products Used:08 09 06 stinky santa cruz v10 specialized demo iron horse yakuza sohon
Bike Setup:800mm fsa gravity bars lock on grips and a chainguide wich took very long to install because the nondriveside chainstay is offset for front deralier but the lowere pulley on the chainguide gets in the way
Bottom Line:my first freeride dh bike and i love it i used 2 dh on a hardtail and destroyed that so i got this and it makes things so much easier these are a great value and the 4 bar suspension design is simple and durable i would be as good as my friends on my hardtail and they had stinkys now i have 1 and it has made me better overnight i highly reccomend this product to anyone who is looking to get there moneys worth

Strengths:Awesome Frame, Front Shock, Corners Awesome, Jumps Well, Feels like it wants to go fast.
Weaknesses:Rear Shock, Pedals, Weight
Similar Products Used:08 Kona Shred, 05 Santa Cruz Bullit

Bottom Line:This is an awesome bike and an awesome buy. I would recommend to anyone. I have had problems with the rear shock. It really is a cheap crappy rear shock. My spring was way to soft, and the rear suspension made clicking noises over small bumps. It only seems to absorb large hits. I think it is partially blown. I am hoping a rear shock upgrade to a fox DHX 5.0 Coil will make it ride much better.

Strengths:I have the 07 Stinky. Very solid frame. Van R shock can take a lot of abuse, really quick and agile, good weight balance and geometry, looks wicked.
Weaknesses:-Drop Off Triple fork, It wont last long if you are into jumping and rough downhill.
-SunRims are unreliable. Go out of true pretty quickly and the spokes come loose all the time.
-2 speed setup, chain dances around on sketchy trails.

Strengths:Bombproof, Overbuilt, Looks Great, Affordable, Goes Anywhere you point it!!
Weaknesses:Have Not Found a Weakness Yet.
Bike Setup:'05 Kona Stinky Dee-Lux, Raceface Evolve crankset, Marzocchi All mountain 4 160mm, Chris King NoThreadset, Manitou Swinger 4 way, Avid Juicy 5's.
Bottom Line:I broke a Trek Fuel 90 frame riding hard and fast. I decided to build something bigger and tougher. I Built up the '05 Kona stinky after finding a great deal on the frame from High Intensity Bikes online. It rides like a Caddy! Its fast fast fast. It will take anything you throw at it. Hold on tight! It maybe a little heavy at first for some people, but get over it! Your out here to have fun, and be alive. The Stinky is going to let you live out your wildest dreams. Don't buy into all the "its to heavy to climb" nonsense out there. I still pass hard tails climbing the big stuff. So build it, or buy it. Get out and ride it, you will love it!!!! If you want a bike that you can take out ride hard, and not worry about anything, and still have some money in your pocket, this is your bike!

Strengths:-rear suspension is awesome
-brakes are superb
-The frame feels virtually indestructible, I've cased a few jumps and have had no flex at all

Weaknesses:-It's heavy, but what downhill/freeride rig isn't?
-The stock Drop Off triple fork isn't the best. Adjusting is extremely hard and rebound is set to full open by the shop. I suggest getting it slowed down a bit.
Similar Products Used:a ton
Bike Setup:07 Stinky, stock+e.13 srs chain guide
Bottom Line:This bike is overall pretty darn awesome. While it's heavy if you're strong it is possible to pedal uphill. The suspension has saved my life more than once and so have the brakes. This is one of the best buys I've ever made and I'd recommend it to anyone else. The reason I take a chili off of overall rating is for the fork, there are simply better forks out there that could make this bike ride much better

Bottom Line:A decent bike, very plush and smooth travel.
It seemed as if whenever i went off a jump or while riding that it was very front heavy. in midair, the nose always dropped. I am by no means an excellent rider, but i have never had a big problem landing jumps, until i rode this bike. It was also very heavy, and not very maneuverable while going slow. on the plus side, as soon as i pointed the bike down, it went fast, and stayed in control for the most part.

Favorite Trail:Inovec-VelkaLehota
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:kaktusbike
Strengths:Heavy duty frame with great progressive travel, suitable for backcountry, singletrails, freeride and maybe also for downhill, suspension feels like there is no bottom, eats everything

Marzocchi 66 RCV feels pretty soft, rebound, preload and compression can be set in wide range, new quick release axle is dumbproof and very easy and fast to use, seems like i dont have any squeezing problems with it - kinda lucky

Components fit the riding style - heavy duty, but not very expansive, so you will not have to cry if something breaks

SunRims S-type aka MTX are pretty strong
Weaknesses:15.5" frame (M size) comes with 300lb spring, which is suitable for +/- 60kg riders and not for huge drops

Hayes stroker trail brakes are sensitive when not braking hard, however when pushed to limit, they are difficult to control

MZ 66 makes some metal-2-metal noise in first 2-3 cm of travel,

Paint on frame is hard to clean from mud

Rear axle is not 12mm

Bike Setup:default Kona Stinky 08, Deore LX short cage rear deraileur, Truvativ chainguide
Bottom Line:Great bike, which seems to be unbreakable, suits wide range of biking styles, pedaling is not easy, but possible, great to have fun on your favourite singletrail, drop offs, and even in some urban locations, bike setup is great performance/price

Downhill headtube angle makes it stable in high speeds, easy to turn in low speeds, simply, was hesitating to buy, but dont regret

Weaknesses:Weight, some crappy parts-brakes and suspension. Chain problems.
Similar Products Used:Kona Coiler
Bike Setup:2007 base stinky, 2007 rockshox totems, avid codes, chainguide (forget brand)
Bottom Line:I love my bike. It wasnt my first choice but i got a good deal on it, but still have been really pleased with it.

I did have some problems with it right away.

1. I could never get the brakes to stop sounding like a dying goose which got quite embarrassing. I like spending money on parts I can show off, and bought some avid codes(awesome for stopping my car).

2. BIGGEST PROBLEM I HAD- I could never get my chain to stay on during really bumpy ride(happened on my coiler as well). I bought a chain guide in the winter and haven't tried it out yet.

3. I out rode the suspension pretty quick. The drop off triple was good while doing the blues and blacks, but was holding me back on the double blacks now at whistler. I have replaced the fork with a totem.

Though I did have some problems they were not major, and the fork was mainly to make my bike look cooler. Overall I am pleased and would recommend this bike to anyone.

Bottom Line:this has been a fun platform to play with, but as suspension and brakes have gotten better over the years, the limits of this design have come out. adding the betd travel plates has expanded the range of the bike as has adding the 66, but what was once a downhill contender is now a standard FR bike. That said, this bike has held up well for 9 years being upgraded piece by piece.

Bottom Line:Excellent bike for thoes looking to upgrade. It allows me to still do x/c rides. Just need to get used to the extra weight which is no big deal. It's a little harder to get up the hills, but when you get to the top that is when the fun begins. For the money it can't be beat. Once set up it is a rocket. Just point it downhill and go. Not top of the line but indestructable. Recommended for the x/c rider who wants to go faster and take the drops.

i dont agree with the views that everyone is saying about it being so soft for a cross country bike
and not enough travel for real downhill, this bike catagorizes itself its built so you can ride it out to your favorite hills or spot, so it ca be managebable uphill and when you point it down the fun begins... or throw it off anything you can find.

Strengths:Cheap, plush freerider that can handle drops under 15ft. Not too heavy. If you are new to freeride I would recommend this bike. If you are also into dirt jumping this bike is light enough to pull tricks on in the air, have a smooth landing, and roll away looking cool.
Weaknesses:Things seem to come loose fast, my front shock/ hub makes a clicking sound when you land on it. I'm guessing thats just with my bike. Can't handle a drop above 20ft.

I like my bike and I have been testing it to it's limit the past month. It is a pretty solid bike that can take a bit of abuse. If you come too sell a Stinky the bikes don't hold their value.

Favorite Trail:Too Many to Count
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $1150.00
Purchased At:Direct from Kona
Strengths:Great first freeride/DH bike, low price
Weaknesses:Marzocchi fork, 450 lb spring on Fox rear shock too light
Similar Products Used:None
Bike Setup:Stock setup, clipless Shimano M545 pedals
Bottom Line:I am a bike patroller for a resort in Colorado, so I'm on my bike every day, and I've had almost no complaints. I've given it quite a beating and it's still running like it did right out of the box. Certainly a few scratches (both in the bike and in me) but still runs like a champ.

I'm on the 2007 model (I'm not sure what the older versions have for forks) and it comes with a Marzocchi Drop Off Triple. Have to say, I'm not overly impressed. Isn't nimble like a cross country fork, but doesn't suck up bumps like a downhill fork. Kind of the One-Size-Fits-None compromise sort of thing. It's still riding alright, but it doesn't compare with a Fox 36 or 40. But for the price, I can't expect too much more. Also, I'm only about 160 lbs and when I talked to the Fox rep and he looked at my 450 lb rear shock spring, he said he was suprised I hadn't broken it and swapped it out for a 550 lb. Now I'm not really that heavy that I should need a 100 lb heavier spring ... what happens when someone weighing 220 buys this bike?

Overall, a great first freeride/DH bike, decent parts for the money, and a good value. If you've been riding for a few years and are a pretty experienced freeride/DH rider, I'd recommend something more like the Yeti AS-X with a Fox 40 or something similar.

I'm a fan of Kona in general (but not Marzocchi ... can you tell?), and this bike hasn't disappointed me at all.

Similar Products Used:Mi primera bicicleta de descenso.
Bike Setup:De stock.

Strengths:WHen I first bought the bike, i though that it handled beautifully. thre wern't many problems. the brakes were decent, the rims were strong and the frame felt ridge.
Weaknesses:The component group is too beginner. I know that Kona was trying to make an affordible bike, but I had to send the fork in 5 time for warenty over 1 year!! Also, the rear shock expolded in my hands as I tightened the spring. the bike also suffer's horribly from brake jack. the most recent problem of all is that the frame has craked at the steer tube weld, leaving me with 16 stiches 1 inch below my eye and a compound fracture on my cheek bone.

Bottom Line:The fact that the frame cracked on me really supprised me. I even E-mailed Kona when I put the Monster on to make sure it did not void warrenty, and they said that the only issue was that it was too heavy and that it would cause me to nose-dive, which it didn't. The bike's components, especially the fork, are very unpractical as well. after talking with marzocchi, I was told by a marzocchi representitive that the Drop off triple is made with plasitc intenals and that it is not made for most common types of abuse. that is funny, because it is clasified as a freeride fork. Due to these results, I have given the stinky the lowest possible rating. this really upsets me because the Kona stinky was my favorite bike for so long, and I know so many people who ride 8 inch travel forks on it. it never failed on them, Why did it fail on me? This whole situaltion has lead me to be very disappointed with Kona. I am going to notify Kona on the incident and will report back with their result, but for now, I have to give the Stinky the lowest rating.

this bike is very hard to downhill with if u actually go fast, shock bottoms out to easily and if i add more ait it will exceed the level,if i tighten the shock more it would feel like a rigid. up to about 8 foot drop it works fairly good on a decent landing.
if u get this bike(dont unless u just bomb around to look cool)move the seat up a bit because if it bottoms out(which it will) the seat will hit wer the rocker and the chainstay connect and take a chip out of the frame

Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:Rented from Cove
Strengths:Fox rear shock, although it's only a DHX 3, Okay parts for the money. Looks nice.
Weaknesses:Marzocchi Drop Off forks, I cant believe that these are made by Marzocchi. Bike felt cheep when riding.
Similar Products Used:Banshee scream, Norco A-line.
Bike Setup:Stock
Bottom Line:Didn't like this bike that much. Could have been those stupid forks. Don't get me wrong I'll only ever buy Marzocchi but these forks Suck they almost ruined my ride. Not enough air in them and they bottom out over everything. put enough air in them to stop them bottoming out, might as well ride ridgid.
The bike doesn't manual well and for me that is a biggie.
Not to totally knock this bike, it felt great in the air. Super manuverable. Even on smoother stuff you could whip it around. Might even be fun in Whistler.
Compared to my scream it just rode differently. Not nearly as plush and didn't inspire confidence. On stuff I wouldn't normally hesitate to fly over I fould myself slowing downand avoiding. Oh Yeah, didn't stear or track nearly as well.
If your looking for an entry level freeride bike I wouldn't count this one out, Just loose the stupid forks. The design is solid, the parts okay for the money, and the bike has potential. If your riding is over entry to intermediate level I'd look for something else.

Price Paid: $1800.00
Purchased At:Quintena Cycles
Strengths:almost all!!!
-perfect geometry: great capacity of maneuver, body fall naturally in a race posicion even with the saddle in the more high position.
-excellent stability at high speed.
-real 7 inchs of travel: more confidence, more fun (really MORE fun), in a bad landing or any bad decision is CORRECTED by the suspension.
- brakes, monsters!
-simplicity of the pivot sistem: with only little changes Kona mantain this sistem of suspension through the years...for a some good reason
Weaknesses:- grips...at the beginning this things rotates in the handelbar with some force, after 5 months one of this brake in the end. replace for others more ergonimics.
- at slow velocity loss stability, not intended use after all (please GO FAST!)
- the marzocci drop off is not very sensible in the littles bumps, well is not the top of the brand but in the heavy situations...is fine!
- like others doubles suspension the components are a little "cheap" in comparsion to the final price, but must say this was more suitable than others bikes more more expensives.
-the saddle: really unconfortable in long distances
Similar Products Used:BH Xtrem, Santa Cruz VP free
Bike Setup:almost standard except pedals 8change plataforms for plataform-clipless (shimano)
Bottom Line:In my modest opinion this is the most versatile bike i ever try, oriented to downhill of course (and free ride too)
- why buy it?
1-first of all: better quality-price relation. in this kind of bikes u allways get the sensation who someone forget put more "highs" components on it. remember, doubles are EXPENSIVES. but after all the Stinky have ruger components who stand the heavy duty for what was create. In this range of price is not easy find a bike offer this travel an quality. In example y discard the Specialized B-hit because it only have a ring (middle) and everyone say it's more specific for DH and not a peddaling bike (and i NEED peddaling to reach my trails)
2- versatility: u can attack the major part of the climbs u do with your XC bike, but more slow. In some cases u must put your feet on the ground. After some months u get used. I recommend take a rest after a hard climb, this way u enjoy more the downhill, and is less dangerous (you need ALL your senses in order to go fast). THis bike take u to your trail and down u like a demon, believe me!
3- travel: magic word, LONG travel. not only for jumps!!!, u can take de advantages of it in curves, rock gardens any any situation need save your **s. this travel give u the confidence too do thing u even don't think before.
- why not buy it?
1- don't buy if u get more money...go for a Stinky Primo!! or a Stab!!!
2- if u are a rally-man and don´t like big rocks under the rubbers or trees bluring by your side. This bike is the enter to improve skills relatives to conduction, curves technics, jumps an so on. if u want aerobics try another discipline
3- if u think the better in the life is a good climb...yes is a versatile bike for its travel and weight (40lbs) but don't get confused is a LETSGODAOWNGETOUTOFMAYWAY bike. XC fanatic? forget it. enduro or adventure riders? mmmh better go for less travel and weight, u not be confortable in long distances (more than 25 km)
4- if u are a professional rider...u sure get some more bestial, u don't?

Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $1999.00
Purchased At:Foothills
Strengths:Bombproof frame, perfect standover clearance, excellent range in seat height for DH and climbing, badazz color scheme (matte black)
Weaknesses:The seat tends to find it's way towards the vacinity of your sphyncter, due to the short top tube. Big heavy bike. I'd rather have a chain guide with rollers than the worthless small chainring. Lots of pedal bob
Similar Products Used:RM Switch, SC Heckler, Norco Six
Bike Setup:Stock for now. Planned upgrades include a Fox DHX 5.0 and a new seatpost that will move the seat back a little more.
Bottom Line:This is the bike I've been looking for, for the last two years. The new kink in the top tube gives me the perfect clearance (5'-7", 31" inseam), although the seat can get in the way sometimes. It makes for the perfect in-the-cockpit feel.

The components are all serviceable, which is a plus for what this bike is intended for. The Deore RD is cheap to replace, which is a good thing since those are usually the first things to break. If you're looking for good shifting then you're looking for a diff bike for a diff purpose. The brake levers aren't rivetted in either, so those are easily replaceable. Just bolt on the new one and go.

I'll be upgrading to a DHX 5.0 rear shock, since I have to go up, in order to go down. The small chainring is just added weight. If you need that small of a chainring, then you've got bigger problems. I'm going to ditch it for a chain guide.

Overall, this is probably THE best bang for the buck.

Weaknesses:Hayes 9 haven't been doing me too well. Short top tube. Standover ('05 model) is high (watch out for your boys!).
Similar Products Used:Specialized Enduro
Bike Setup:DHX 3.0, Hussfeldt cranks and bar, Marz Drop Off Triple
Bottom Line:Just getting into freeriding. I'm 6'0" at 190lbs, and I got the large frame. I have to raise the seat pretty high to get a good pedal on flats and uphill (gravity dropper post is in my future). Does a darn fine job of going up for such a non-XC kinda bike, too. Bombs the downs, fo' real. I have ridden it Urb for the most part, and it has allowed me to ride drops and jump stairs that I never would have dreamed I'd do. Baby heads are mere pebbles, as well. The fork makes funky noises (google for further reviews) and will prob be upgraded to a Super T or Boxxer in the future. BB is solid and shifting is right on the money.

Strengths:The 06 frame is great, super strong and stylish. The price is a big strength, a lot of bike for little buck.
Weaknesses:The forks work ok but at least for me did not inspire a lot of confidence. The cranks are a bit long but this is usually the case with bikes with a 3 chain ring set up. The rear spring is a bit hard for my weight at 65kg's but this is easily fiked
Similar Products Used:02 Kona Stab Primo
Bike Setup:Marzocchi 888 RC, MRP systems 3 with fusion ring.
Bottom Line:A great bike despite how cheap it is to buy. You can DH, Freeride on it equaly as well. If you can only afford one bike this is it. It's easy to wip around but still handles bigger hits. Works well as standard but with a few upgrades makes it as good as any. Also the frame is really good so it really makes it worth while upgrading it. Looks good too. I enjoy riding it as much as or if not more than my Stab Primo.
This bike will suit anyone who likes to do a bit of everything and someone who is not to big. Also someone that doesn't have a lot to spend yet wants a bike that wont fall apart after a month of riding.

Strengths:The forks are spectacular if you know how to adjust them properly(when you buy it ask the dealer to give you the fork manual). DHX 3.0 great. Frame it bomb proof. Bar-headset setup is awsome.
Weaknesses:The Tioga White Tigers are great on dirt cornering, but suck on most other terrains. Pedals have horrible grab on you foot, unless you have really deep waffle patterns on your shoes. Bashguard needs to be metal, not plastic. No more Shimano crap. Grips, but they break in fast if you don't ride with gloves. Re-ziptie all cables.
Similar Products Used:GT Ruckus, Intense Uzzi, K2 Evo(unfortunatly)

Bottom Line:Great DH, freeride, and jumping bike. Great feel. Kona needs to call up Shimano and tell them to @%#$ OFF! Slap on an after market bash guard, pedals, and maybe tires. Otherwise I love it. Good center of balance for wheelies. I totally recommend it if you have a spare 1800 bucks floatin' around(or for a dh starter bike). Great for teen riders, but if you're over 6'2" the frame it too short, even if you up the size(Kona makes their bikes short, bar to seat length, and tall)

Strengths:pretty much everything, the rims are light yet strong, frame is amazing, low standover strong and beautiful!!(it really is a beautiful bike), tires are great for dirt but not very good on pavement, if you were to change them for a more all around tire i would recommend the maxxis highroller, the rear shock (dhx3) is very reliable and has plenty of ajustments, and the rest of the bike is pretty solid to. (but the parts i mentioned are the one's that really stood stood out to me)
Weaknesses:forks could be a little nicer, they arent bad but i would recommend putting a thicker oil in to slow down the rebound, and if your going big (over 10 foot drops or 25 foot gaps they might not hold up) but if your not going very big then they are plenty. rear hub.... just not a very solid hub(i havent had any problems with it but ive only bin riding the bike for a week)
Similar Products Used:05 stinky w/ sliders, 04 stuff, etc....
Bike Setup:stock except when i bought it i had a sram x-7 drive train put on, and i plan to upgrade the fork to either a 888 or a 66...... cant decide (if you have any advice feel free to email me)
Bottom Line:this is a great all around bike, it climbs amazingly well for a 38 pound freeride bike, and i basically ride every type of riding there is and this bike is great for everything, its even fun to ride in the skateparks and downtown, gets hard to pedal around after awhile thow.... but im sure ill get used to it after awhile. probably the best freeride bike you can buy for that price and the fact that its a kona doesnt hurt, and the looks.... well i like looking at the bike jus as much as i like riding it so you do the math:P, its beautiful and i woulod recommond it to almost any rider out there unless you ride really hard and go really big, then it would be worth it to spend the extra money for a stinky deluxe

tried the 05, but at 5'5", i had no standover, so i opted for the 06 frame, with a lil more. THIS BIKE ROCKS.. first off, it looks incredible, i go downtown and people just STARE!! just georgous! the bike, which weighs 38 pounds, may be heavy, but still keeps up with my dads kikapu deluxe on the steep grinds. the dropoff triple is a great fork, especiialy for sombody just gettin into the freeride game. the fox DHX 3 is a great rear, with plenty of adjustability. great setup, and one of the best bikes out there for the price, no matter if used for agressive trail riding, or for flat out bombing hills. The bike was born to catch air, handles four footers with no notice. anything more than eight foot, and ur gunna bust the fork.
Weaknesses:rear shock is a lil too plush, sorta heavy, but not noticeable when riding. front fork has very little adjustments for small riders. front wheel hard to remove

Bottom Line:This bike is heavy, but that will never be a complaint of mine. I'm 6'7", 250lbs, weight isn't an issue. The bike has done anything that I personally can handle. I know the bike can handle much more and eventually I'll be able to put it it's full use. Freeride, downhill on this bike rocks. The cross country riding is a little harder, but it is still possible. I just did the 24hrs of adrenaline in Idyllwild on it, so anythings possible. If you're a beginner or a person that's making the move to a full suspension bike this one is great.

Bottom Line:If you can find a bike shop that still has an 05 model hanging around you can pick one up pretty cheap. Definetley the best freeride bike out there for the money. You can't build a freeride bike for this cheap with decent components like the stinky. If you have been thinking about getting into downhill/freeriding this bike is the bike for you, go out and buy one.

Price Paid: $2000.00
Purchased At:the store
Strengths:the frame is strong, and versatile. there are aftermarket mods you can do to the frame to get more travle
Weaknesses:really crappy stock tires
Bike Setup:heres the big changes ive done....monster t, linkage plates, 24 rear wheel, chainguide, tires, hubs, rims, better shock. the list goes on and on
Bottom Line:this is a good bike for starting out on, it really is. however, because it is only 2 g's, the parts are not strong enough to last more than a season or two. if i had to go back to the day before i bought this bike, i would still buy it.

Strengths:Bombproof frame, solid components, awesome rear shock, superior fork, excelent value for the money.
Weaknesses:a little weighty
Similar Products Used:various xc/all mountain fullys
Bike Setup:Stock '05 Stinky
Bottom Line:This bike takes entry level to the next level. If you are new to freeride/DH and are wondering what bike to ride, get this bike. With over 10 years riding hardtails this was my first fully purchase, and is worth every penny. Without a doubt the best value in it's class. All-though a little on the hefty edge of the scale, I can still spin this beast up most moderate hills (and I'm a geezer at 35). This bike makes freeriding easy. With a little practice, anyone can start hucking. I was doing 3-4 foot drops on my first ride. This bike will take anything I can throw at it.

If you are worried about your nails and need your momma to drive you to the top of every knoll in your hood, stick to something lighter, like knitting.

Strengths:((2004 stinky))
This is a pretty remarkable bike for the price. $$1400 AUD
Love the brakes (except the front at the moment, i suspect that it has some oil on the rotors).
Front suspension has awesome dampening (to my preference), perfect for hucks and drops. Ive done a 6 foot to flat concrete, and the bike just soaks it right up.
Frame is bombproof, i just cant imagine anything going wrong there, i actually feel alot safer when its in the boot of the car, because i know if i have a rear ender accident, the bike will just soak it up :-)
Pedals awesomely for a dualie, ive had other cheaper DS bikes in the past, and this one really goes, up hills, on flats, and ofcourse down hill.
Geometory is just fantastic, riding position feels great.
Weaknesses:Dont really like the size of the cogs up front, could be a bit bigger (considering it is a potential downhill bike).
Front disc, as mentioned above.
Dont dig the setup of the cables, they really do get in the way, when dismounting in a rush, or transporting the bike, or throwing a leg over in trousers and stuff like that.
