Date Reviewed: October 21, 2009
Favorite Trail:Kelso
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $790.00
Purchased At:toronto bike show
Strengths:Very nice paint job sturdy frame took it downhilling and although I cant say it exactly flowed downhill it certainly took it and rode well. Good gear selection for 4x and trails.Rules the jumps good pop . Nice fork
Weaknesses:Gearset is good for level trails but hard to spin up hills. weak drivetrain components (replaceable on a budget) front brake not the best for stoppies.
Similar Products Used:p2 kona scrap
Bike Setup:stock 08
Bottom Line:I got a great deal at the show 1300 dollar bike for under 800 great second bike or if you just dj/4x. overall better than a p2 08 model has a head turning paint job one of the best dj bikes in its price range.

Date Reviewed: January 28, 2009
Favorite Trail:Tijuana River Valley Regional Park
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $1100.00
Purchased At:Bicycle Warehouse
Strengths:Great welds all around. DJ2 is better than the DJ3. Hydraulic brakes. Ok stock stuff for trail riding.
Weaknesses:Rims, hubs, some say crank but mines ok, pedals are the crappiest pedals I have ever used. Rear hub casette driver crapped out on me.
Similar Products Used:I Dont Know.
Bike Setup:Nine speed, Shimano 09 Saint shifter and transmission. 08 Hussefelt bars. Premium thin bmx pedals. MRP roller. Nevegal 2.1 rear tire. No quick release seat post clamp. All else is stock.
Bottom Line:Great frame and fork. The biggest frame Ive found for dirt jumping. Roomy on the trail and street. It would be great if it had iscg tabs. The large frame is really for tall riders. The actual top tube length is around 23.875 C-t-C. Im 6ft and it feels good. The brakes are awesome. If you have them set up perfect they dont rub or squeel, and are silent till applied. This is a good jumper/trail bike. It comes with two rings up front so if you keep it 8speed you have the grany advantage for short climbs. The replacable dropouts are a plus. Plus ive read of a single speed conversion using horizontal dropouts if youre in to that sort of thing, Im going to try it. Great bike if youre going to upgrade some stuff.

Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $1200.00
Purchased At:Calabazas Cyclery
Strengths:(This is the 2008 model)

Basically everything
Weaknesses:Nothing major I can think of but I have noticed a decent amount of chain suck
Similar Products Used:Nothing
Bike Setup:Stock except for some Primo magnesium pedals (which are shin destroyers, lol)
Bottom Line:This bike can take whatever you throw at it, from urban drops to singletrack. It really could be used for an all around bike, not specifically jumping but it rules in the air also :P
