$250.00 | | Purchased At: | mail order | | Strengths: | Strong for its weight Good handling | | Weaknesses: | Rubbish paint job- an issue for a steel frame | | Bottom Line: | I built this bike up from a frame. It rides very well, and the Kona geometry works. The advantage of a custom build is you can fit a 100 mm fork and set it up soft, muc h better than the standard 80 mm builds. The paint sucked, it was scratched even before put it together. I needed a respray to stop it rusting. No disc mount either. Nice details (dropouts etc) though. Weighs about 4 lbs. To sum up- get it if you like XC and getting air. The only guy I know to break one weighs about 16 stone, and even then he made it home. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
