Strengths:Frame,wheels, Avid brakes and SID SL are very good.
The bike is very good on narrow tracs in the forrest.
Weaknesses:Tires and bar.

Bottom Line:Since the day I bought my first Kona I have absolutely loved it. The geometry of a Kona is absolutely perfect.

Strengths:Bike climbs nice and rips downhill. This bike gets you where you need to go
Weaknesses:The front end seems sloppy. Other than that this bike really rides like hell.
Similar Products Used:Mongoose, Trek, and many others.
Bike Setup:Mostly stock. Seat is something comfortable and the pedals are time attack
Bottom Line:Take a ride and try to wheel and deal since you are paying a butload for this bike. Five big fat flaming tirds or dookers for this bike.

Strengths:Everything. Killer bike. Scandium frame plus killer components needs no upgrades unless you want to give $$$ away, and in that case, give your $$$ to me. I need it!
Weaknesses:None.
Similar Products Used:Had a GT w/ i-Drive and it was ridiculous in the Dallas mountains. There are no Dallas mountains!!! Gave it away. Fischer Paragon (rocked!).

Bottom Line:Killer Bike and I got it at a killer price. I'm a fat a** and I can make this bike climb like a rhino on some drug that would make a rhino climb fast on a bike. It's awesome around the track and XC. Buy one and you won't be sorry you spent the extra $$$. Especially since you don't need any upgrades. Five big, fat, flamin', explosive turds for the glow in the dark Explosif.

Strengths:lightweight, stiff + strong, rules at uphilling, nice paint job, the best out of the box racer i've ridden. one kickass bike.
Weaknesses:none i've found

Bike Setup:stock apart from i swapped the kona bars for some easton ct2 monkeylites and stuck on some bar ends
Bottom Line:If you've got the money and want an absolutely top quality xc racer, buy this bike now.

Strengths:extremely stiff, light, climbs well and rides like steel. thus far, i'm impressed w/ scandium. great looking paint and dropouts.
Weaknesses:none to report at this time

Bike Setup:full xtr, sid sl, avid magnesium brakes, time pedals, easton bar, thomson post, profile stem.
Bottom Line:i recommend it to anyone who is willing to spend 2k. bike weighs 22lbs. it's fast and fun.

Strengths:The 2000 explosif is super light. This bike is fast and it can take anything that you throw at it. The frame is really strong Ive crashed hard a couple of times and its still together. The bike is awesome out of the box. Except....
Weaknesses:The clipless pedals should be changed to TIME. But that could be only personal preference.
