Strengths:Frame for the most part....and the front suspension is amazing
Weaknesses:rear suspension the worst thing mozo came out with ever also the grip shift changed to rapid fire also
Bottom Line:The bottom line is...it's an amazing and confortable bike for beginnersadvice would be do not drop off a 15 foot drop with it rear suspension will snap

Favorite Trail:Brant Tract
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $250.00
Purchased At:Local Bike Shop
Strengths:I really like the construction of the frame. I also really like the front fork. The crank isn't all that bad for the starter class the bike is. I really enjoy drops so I put the bike through a lot of beatings and it seems to withstand.
Weaknesses:Definatly the GripShift and the rear suspension. The suspension is not even all that bad unless you do some 5 foot drops. Ohh ya the pedals wear out real quick!
Similar Products Used:Supercycle 21DS
Bike Setup:All stock except new pedals
Bottom Line:The bottom line is that this bike is great for the price and it is perfect for a screw around bike. The bike is good for beginners in x-country or for a cheap experienced rider. It takes to drops okay and isn't to shabby on both x-country and downhill trails. Would pay more for it than I did.

Weaknesses:rear susp (its all right though) and gears (the gears dont change when you want it to and the chain always falls of)
Similar Products Used:1st dualie
Bike Setup:stock
Bottom Line:its a great starter bike, not for an agressive rider unless you upgrade some parts and thats the bottom line cause stone cold said so

Date Reviewed: July 23, 2003
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $250.00
Purchased At:Ebay
Strengths:The frame seems to be designed and built very well. Overall I really like the bike. Once I get rid of the crap they call the rear shock I think it will be a better bike.
Weaknesses:The componants that suck are: REAR SHOCK sucks a lot, grip twist shifter, headset, rear shock, front drrailleur, crankset, brakes.
Bottom Line:Upgrade componants a must. Upgrade the rear shock at the very least.

Date Reviewed: May 3, 2003
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $400.00
Purchased At:Cactus Bike & Ski
Strengths:Frame,Derailleurs ,Front Suspension
Weaknesses:Rear Suspension isn't the greatest only has a sag setting. Grip Shift (Terrible)it changes gears whenever it feels like not when you want it to change, Upgraded to rapid fire immediately.
Similar Products Used:Norco Screamer goood for someone on a budget too heavey for my liking. Jamis Dakar XLT 1.0 Great bike all around hydraulic disc brakes is the best thing ever. Head Funk one of my first MTB's, it was great for the years that I had it but now i'm interested in getting more aggressive and it's just not up to par anymore, only has front suspension and it's not the greatest.
Bottom Line:Bottom line, this is a great first start bike. Only weighs 32 pounds, quite light. It's good for 3 foot jumps, not for the more aggressive biker. The frames are welded very well, plus there very strong.
