Submitted by d a Downhiller from massUSA
Date Reviewed: April 4, 2003
Duration Product Used:6 months
Strengths:burly
sweet geometry for jumping
badass looking
good standover clearance
KHS are good folk to deal with
Weaknesses:no real weaknesses...if you like to XC it lives up to it's name, but it's not an XC bike(obviously). cracked mine, but i seem to be a bit tougher on my gear than most. der.hanger is flimsy and loves to break. The paint chips easily, but you really shouldn't be concerned with a perfect finish if you're riding something that was made to be thrashed. Oh yeah, and they stopped making it.
Similar Products Used:gt avalanche(lasted longer than anything i've owned), RM-DH team, K2 flyin monkey, khs/free agent rigid one, soon to be a .243...
Bike Setup:big and evil
Bottom Line:sweet bike for the big air idiot

KHS' customer service is always a plus, too

Submitted by Rod Manly a Weekend Warrior from Rochester, NY, USA
Date Reviewed: January 30, 2003
Favorite Trail:steepest
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $880.00
Purchased At:adrenaline
Strengths:Geometry is nuts on and makes for effortless gappies. I'm 5'11" and loving the slack angle stance for aggresive blasts of dual slalom and dirt jumping bliss.
Weaknesses:shifters ofcourse, I hope to replace these first
Similar Products Used:big hit,
Bike Setup:stock: sun ditch witch rims, truvative cranks w/ spline, powertools stem/bar, "decent" stock setup really
Bottom Line:When I purchased my bike it had to be ordered by the bike shop and I was told there is now 1 left in the So. California KHS headquarters waiting for a home as of late Dec. Its a sweet bike especially at that 800 pricetag. It is undecided whether it will still be offered as a frame-only for 2003.Too bad this bike is possibly going to be out of production, it's such a great bike.
