from Exeter Date Reviewed: April 8, 2002 | | Favorite Trail: | Exeter Woods | | Duration Product Used: | Less than 1 month | | Purchased At: | KHS racer program | | Strengths: | Light wieght (21lbs), components, shock, handling, value.
| | Weaknesses: | Pedals-it you can call that a weakness | | Similar Products Used: | Klein Pulse Pro (old mtb bike 97 model) Tried Cannodale F3000, Gary Fisher X-Caliber, Trek 9.8 | | Bike Setup: | SID Race, XTR rear, XT front and shifters, Avid brakes, WTB wheelset, Stylo crank, WTB pedals | | Bottom Line: | A sweet, light, racer ready cross country bike.A huge improvement over my old Klein. No major complaints other than the pedals, which were assembled backwards from the WTB factory and are difficult to get the release adjustment set. I'm still breaking the bike in, but overall everything is excellent. The SID is plush and responsive. Spend the time to understand the fork and it's setup, it's worth it. This bike climbs like a billy goat! Both KHS and Recycled Sports were very helpful. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
