Strengths:wheelbase is very short and easy to handle. with my setup, i have a manitou sherman 140mm, and it suits the bike very well , bike take drops very well.

Favorite Trail:South Seatac
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $275.00
Purchased At:Ebay
Strengths:The angle of the seat tube and the bend in the top tube allow you to put the seat tube down to top tube level. Really gets it out of the way when youre bombin hills. Stock Romic rear shock is simple yet amazing, especially with the titanium spring mine came with.
Weaknesses:Paint was a bit dated so I sanded and repainted bright ass green. The Romic did have some seal issues after a season of hard riding. Only cost $30 bucks to rebuild it though and they totally updated it to current Romic shock parts.
Similar Products Used:Did ride a Big Hit SPEC but thats not even in the same ball field.
Bike Setup:I bought the frame on Ebay and built up the rest. Currently: Dirt Jumper III 150mm fork, XT hydro brakes, 8" rotors, Supergo FR wheelset, Maxxis 2.35 tires, FSA single crank, XT 8sp rear, FSA bars, Shorty stem, Canecreek headset, Romic rear shock
Bottom Line:I love this bike. The Witchdoctor is a 2002 and because of this I have considered selling and buying something newer but I just cant do it. Im happy with it. Im happy with my setup. Someday Ill do it im sure, but not today... If youre new to this and are looking for your first bike look for a Witchdoctor. Youll get a killer deal and you wont regret it.

Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $300.00
Purchased At:pinkbike
Strengths:I love the geometry. I am only 5'6" and have a difficult time standing over the top tube but once on the pedals the bike feels very nimble and easy to throw around. The top tube is very short and seems better suited for a shorter rider, but the seat tube angle makes it easy to open up the cockpit. I bought this as only a frame and have no reviews for the rest of the bike.
Weaknesses:I bought this frame from pinkbike.com but it was brand new withnothing ever mounted to it. I have ridden the bike two weekends in a row and have since noticed one pivot on the rear linkage somewhat loose and I have also slightly ovalized my head tube. I have been riding the bike probably on terrain it was never meant to be on with a z150 on the front which could be the reason for the ovalized head tube. The rear link however I am not sure about, It could be a defect in the frame because it is only on one side. I bought this frame from a classified ad and although I went over the frame before mounting anything and noticed no signs of any use(such as marks from rear wheel or marks on BB threads or Head tube scratches from Headset cups) both of these problems could be from the prior owner and I just used poor judgement.
Similar Products Used:Norco 4x4, Turner afterburner dh, Kona stinky, specialized big hit comp
Bike Setup:z150, raceface turbine lp, blackspire guide, lazerdisc dh rims, onyx hubs(crap), pig dh headset(crap), azonic short stem/ doublewall bar, Maxxis Minion 2.5(fantastic)
Bottom Line:This frame for what its worth was still worth the 300 bucks I spent on it. The past two weekends have been a blast and I am in the process of trying to fix the two issues with it. The rear shock is great, keeps the rearend glued to the ground and makes it feel like you have mroe travel then you do. I have always ridden smaller lesser travel bikes on DH/ freeride terrain so I sort of deserve what Happened. The rear pivot that is loose seems to be because of a clearanced hole that is too big. I am goign to try to wrap it in teflon tape to tighten it up. The headset I am going to put in a Chris King steelset to hopefully fix the ovalizing.

Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $699.00
Purchased At:www.pricepoint.com
Strengths:SWEET deal, i searched and searched for over a month. I was looking for a nice fs bike for under 1000 bucks. I almost bought an ibex ignition 2, and there were a few other, but when i saw this awesome deal at www.pricepoint.com, i couldn't resist, the brakes are great, tuff frame, nice tires, shifts very smooth, i cant sum it up in words how satisfied i am
Weaknesses:a little heavy, the PSYLO XC has to go, the assembly took a little while, the grip shifts are very long, so sometimes it shifts when i land a big jump, and the seat and seatpost suck
Similar Products Used:Cannondale, weyless, Iron horse, this one is the best of all of them
Bike Setup:Everything stock except, new seat and seatpost, sram x9 shifters and derailluers, and marzocchi z1 dropoff 2(best fork for the price....once again, i did my research}
Bottom Line:I love this bike, had to make a few adjustments and upgrades, but for the price of 699, it cannot be beat. HONESTLY, u wont be dissapointed, the only reason why i cant give it 5 flammin chillis for overall is because, we must remember, there are bikes that are much better, because anything that costs 5 times as much as this bike, must be better, but for the price, is the best deal in the world

Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $1500.00
Purchased At:EBAY
Strengths:I BOUGHT THE FRAME FROM EBAY AND PUT MY OWN PARTS ON IT, IT IS A SWEET RIDE FOR A SMALLER PERSON, THE FRAME IS VERY, VERY STRONG,I'VE BEEN DROPPING MINE 7' REGULARLY IN THE FRONT 3.5 TRAVEL MODE AND THE ONLY TROUBLE IS THE REAR SPOKES GAVE OUT, AND I'M 195LBS.
Weaknesses:WHEN BUYING IT STOCK A LOT OF THE COMPONENTS ARE CHEAP,THE FIRST THING TO GO IS THE SEAT AND SEATPOST, THE POST ISN'T EVEN THE RIGHT SIZE IT HAS A SHIM, TRASH IT AND GET THE THOMSON ELITE 31.6mm AND RIDE ON. GRIP SHIFTERS IN GENERAL AREN'T GOOD FOR RIDING HARD I WAS SHIFTING WHEN LANDING,THE REAR CAN ONLY TAKE A 2.4 TIRE. MAYBE SOME TIRES ARE DIFFERENT BUT I BOUGHT 2.6 AND IT RUBBED BAD. SO I PUT MY 2.4 WTB BACK ON AND THEY WORK FINE.
Similar Products Used:THIS WAS MY FIRST FULL SUSPENSION, I'M HANDING IT DOWN TO MY WIFE AND GETTING A 2000 YETI DH8, IT TOOK MY ABUSE FOR A YEAR, NOW IT'S EARNED AN EASY RIDING LIFE, ON THE GARAGE WALL.
Bike Setup:THOMSON SEAT POST THOMSON 100mm 5 deg.STEM MANITOU BLACK ELITE 120mm WITH EXTRA HEAVY SPRING(SPRING RATE IS VERY IMPORTANT, MOST FORKS COME WITH A MEDIUM SPRING)HAYES HFX 9 DISC, RACE FACE 2" BARS, RAPID FIRE DEORE SHIFTER, MRP CHAINGUIDE, SHIMANO 105 SHORT DER. VUELTA EXCALIBUR RIMS.
Bottom Line:GREAT FRAME, VERY VERSITAL, IT'S FOR SHORTER RIDERS WHEN IT COMES TO TRAIL RIDING BECAUSE OF THE SEATPOST ANGLE AND TOP TUBE LENGHT. VERY TOUGH FRAME. WISH IT HAD MORE TRAVEL FRONT SETTING IS 3.5 AND THE REAR SETTING IS 4.5. I THOUGHT ABOUT GETTING A LONGER STROKE SHOCK, THERE IS PLENTY OF RANGE IN THE LINKAGE FOR A 7.5 EYE TO EYE AND GET AS MUCH STROKE AS YOU CAN. IT LOOKS LIKE THE STOCK HAS ABOUT 1-1/8. A 1-1/2 OR BIGGER WOULD PROBABLY GIVE YOU AN INCH MORE TRAVEL, ALTHOUGH A LONGER SHOCK WOULD RAISE YOUR BOTTOM BRACKET HEIGHT THIS RATING IS FOR THE FRAME AND ROMIC SHOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Purchased At:Direct from KHS
Strengths:Rear Suspsension design, romic shock, burley frame, sun ringle rims
Weaknesses:Rear Deraileur, Psylo XC fork (moosh), seat & seat post, pedals
Similar Products Used:Marin Quake 9.0, Trek Bruiser
Bike Setup:Marzocchi Z1 FR QR20, Azonic DW Bar, Azonic Hot Seat, Azonic Post, MRP, Azonic A Frame Pedals
Bottom Line:VERY smooth ride in spite of some the cheesiest parts possible (no name pedals, seat & post) not stoked on Sram Half Pipe shifters or deore derailleur. Truvativ Hussefelt cranks look burley but I stripped out both sides in Biker X #4 @ Sandhill (FIRST RACE/RIDE)and their in for warranty replacement. The pedals shreaded the threads like butter. Thank god I got it through their sponsorship program at a discount. The suspension design with the Romic rear are sweet (if I ever get my cranks back and can ride the F__kin' thing).

Purchased At:Konsin
Strengths:Similar to 99' Kona stab
Weaknesses:Paint finish is cheaper.
Similar Products Used:none
Bike Setup:Marzocchi Monster t,Azonic bar,Race face crank,Formula disk
Bottom Line:The bike runs very smooth and stabled. This is my 4 bar linked full suspensioned. Rear shock unit is RCR,this is also brandnew brand for me,but move very smooth compared with out looking. Over all out looking is cheaper(not poor)
but she runs smoother than expexted. I think this frame is
(also,sold frame only)cost performer.
Note,Japanese distributor of KHS accepts coulour order and spring rate, when ordering with frame only.
