Date Reviewed: June 22, 2009
Duration Product Used:Tested or demo'ed only
Purchased At:Jetlites Direct
Strengths:Bright, all Jetlites previous design (mounts, IP-68 rated connector)
Weaknesses:Its quite expensive
Similar Products Used:Many other Jetlites
Bottom Line:First of all, the title of the tread needs to be change. Jet no longer makes the 2600. Its been remaned to
'JET BLAST 1000 HID Shadow 3200 LiPoly'

I have tried almost the entire line of Jetlites. From their 6v to 13.2v to 14.8v, from NiMH to Li-ion to Li-PO. Halogen and the old HID Blast.

This 1000 lumens is really one of the best HID out there. Beats NiteRider SlickRock & L&M ARC anytime. The only thing with comparable brightness will be the TrailTech SCMR16 but that light is huge and won't work my MTB helmets.

This is a great improvement from the old 680 lumens HID. The light color is a lot more natural and proper color. You won't even know its a HID because it don't have the white/blue color like most HID do.

But I have to say, the price is a bit steep~

Duration Product Used:3 months
Strengths:This is a great product and very versatile! It's not just a bike light. We use it for multiple activities and it works great for all. Hiking, biking, kayaking, boating and night fishing. The accessory attachments that are included allow secure placement on me or the various equipment. The battery pak fits well on me or placed in the pack or kayak. Long lasting power. So happy to have it.
Weaknesses:None that I've found so far.
Similar Products Used:Petzel headlamps
Bottom Line:Definitely a thumbs up on this light.

Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $500.00
Purchased At:Jet Lites
Strengths:BRIGHT!! Light weight & well shaped battery. Staff at Jet Lites are fantastic to deal with. Lamp is compatible with Jet's other batteries.
Weaknesses:Head lamp is a little heavy compared to Jet's halogens.
Similar Products Used:Old Vistalite dual halogen
Bike Setup:Cannodale Prophet
Bottom Line:Fantastic light. Lit the trail like you were riding in day light!! Provided plenty of light down the trail and off to the sides. The staff at Jet Lites are very knowledgable and will talk you through the products they offer. Burn time is exactly as stated in spec's. You cannot go wrong with this light/battery combo.
