DESCRIPTION
The Payback is constructed of Columbus Foco tubing and comes set up for derailleurs and Hayes hydraulic brakes. Designed to accommodate 65-80mm travel suspension forks, and handlebar widths up to 25".

I purchased my Jericho Payback from a good friend, who bought it new from Josh Ogle back in the day. Same friend also had his singlespeed bike known as the Leadfoot. Hands down it is one of my all time favorite frame/bikes to ride. I did manage to buckle the downtube about 7 years ago and had it fixed by Bilenky in Philly as he was the only person who had on hand, Columbus Foco steel. Fixed and powdercoated all black, my setup is a 1x12 fully rigid with an Independent Fabrication fork up front. Have been running a 29r up front and a 650b in the rear and this bike climbs like no other. When I purchased it the setup was 26", because that is what everybody was doing. Josh was well ahead of his time considering the the frame is made of three types of steel to keep it light and strong. The only reason i buckled the downtube was hitting a tree with the headtube at about 25 mph on my favorite local downhill where i used to have the KOM. I would love to find a Leadfoot frame as i ride more ss now than the Jericho.
Was set up for Hayes brakes and it is impossible to find a brake that will fit the rear. I'm actually talking to two fabricators to get one of them to weld mounts on the seatstay so i can set it up with newer brakes. Other than that, wish Josh Ogle was still making bikes!

Columbus foco on main triangle. Columbus squadra corse on Seatstays and chainstay.Dropouts made of stainless steel,Jericho emblem made of brass.Welds are sweet finished,Metallic paint and some fine details.Light weight for steel(18" is close to 1.780kgs). Very confortable geometry.
No LONGER MADE!
After having a frame of aluminium,scandium,titanium and carbon,I decided to look for a steel.An Independent fabrication frame came to my mind and I saw one on ebay,but during these days somebody post for sale a Jericho. I look on the web for some information about this company but there is close to nothing,just some forums,but speaking very well about this frame: The Jericho Payback,handmade in california for Josh Ogle who run this small factory for about 10 years.
Josh Ogle was an visionary man,because this frame came for Disc brakes only since 2002,and decided to mix two different kind of steel: Columbus Foco and Columbus Squadra Corse,making this bike light and with a very sweet ride. Only a company like Cinelli has mix this kind of tubes and the racers experiment a different kind of ride,very responsive and fast on the way up and down.It is very hard to weld this kind of steel,but it lighter than Reynolds 953.
Having this bike all set up and ready to ride,I head up to the mountains expecting not so much,because I have a Titanium bike and I was not expecting this steel bike exceed my expectatives about the titanium, but it did it amazingly. The geometry is very comfortable,the ride is completly different; When you step up on the pedals you feel all the energy transfer to the wheels. It is really an amazing frame indeed.
According to some forums this bike has a XCountry geometry. Not race intendent.

Everything, 3.5 lbs of pure performance. From the hand finished stainless steel drop-outs to the seven sided down tube this Columbus Foco tubed rivals any Ti frame for ride quality. The welds are flawless and Columbus Foco is not the easiest to weld. The pimpin cnc'd head badge and the 2 layers of powder coating plus the clear coat are the icing on the cake. Geometry is a nice balance between uphill and downhill. Much better than my full suspension for east bay riding.
its not cheap but it will last a very long time
Best bike I have ever owned. I have never ridden so much
