Date Reviewed: July 19, 2008 | | Duration Product Used: | 2 Years | | Strengths: | Everything works as intended for a bike in this price range: cromo tubing, low end but serviceable components. | | Weaknesses: | A bit on the heavy side. | | Bottom Line: | For it's price range, the Jamis Explorer SX is a good bike. If your intention is to do the majority of your riding off-road, then you'll probably outgrow this bike quickly.
However, if your going to ride it out front of your house on the pavement with the very occasional off road (no narrow stuff or technical), then it will suffice.
The bike will probably last 10 years if you take care of it, keep it adjusted and lubed.
