Submitted by Azim Q a Weekend Warrior from Vancouver
Date Reviewed: June 29, 2004
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $200.00
Purchased At:sportscheck
Strengths:Good for short distances
Weaknesses:heavy frame, suspect quality
Bottom Line:I bought this bike because it was comfortable and the gears were good. Bought it at Sportscheck for $170 CAN but they put together really badly and the handle bars came away on my first outing. I'm going to take it back for a check up because I'm not too confident about riding the bike on the road in case something else goes wrong.

Submitted by Ron a Cross Country Rider from Alexandria
Date Reviewed: June 2, 2004
Favorite Trail:Mt. Vernon
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $170.00
Purchased At:Galyan's
Strengths:Price. Shifting.
Weaknesses:Poor construction. You get what you pay for
Bottom Line:Purchased this bike on the advise of the salesperson and the low price. Not a bad bicycle for the weekend neighborhood rider or vacationer, but do not use this product on harder skill or rugged trails. The seat post clamp broke within the first 100 miles. The handle bar clamp gave way soon after. If you just want to ride 10 to 15 miles per week on smoother surfaces, purchase this bike. Otherwise drop another $100 or $150 and get something more reliable.

Submitted by Zaheer Khan a Cross Country Rider from Toronto,ON
Date Reviewed: April 1, 2004
Duration Product Used:Tested or demo'ed only
Price Paid: $200.00
Purchased At:SportCheck
Strengths:I ride a very high end alum frame bike but I was looking for a decent steel frame that I can play around with and this bike is that.
Bottom Line:The frame is 2lbs more heavy then Alum but the components and the geometry is great for the avg city rider. I prob wouldnt want to go up a hill for too long on the heavy frame.

Submitted by Buyer a Cross Country Rider from Toronto
Date Reviewed: July 25, 2003
Duration Product Used:Tested or demo'ed only
Price Paid: $200.00
Purchased At:Sportchek
Strengths:Simano Components. Quick release seat and wheels I think?
Weaknesses:Unadjustable RST fork. 21 speeds.
Bike Setup:BTW, between aluminum and steel. Which one is better? I understand aluminum is lighter but isn't it weaker than steel? However, I reckon it won't rust as easily as steel. So please give me your opinion.
Bottom Line:Ummm Can somebody please give this a review?

I am trying to find out if this is a good bike for the price. I am also looking if the Nakamura Grinder is a good deal from Sportchek.
