$500.00 | | Purchased At: | Bike Stop | | Strengths: | Bought this bike used for 500usd at the bike shop. Great components, good for the price | | Weaknesses: | Orginally, i bought this as my all around bike, I raced downhill on it and mountain cross on it. One main problem is since it is more of a trail bike, its sits up faily high, making the rear wheel want to go over the front. After getting a new dh bike, i was able to make it a soley mountain cross dirt jumper bike by replacing the rear shox( an eye to eye of 8") with another fox rear shox with a much shorter strock and piggy back(witha eye to eye of ") This drastical droped the back, making it handle much more nimble | | Similar Products Used: | kona skab, kona cinder cone | | Bike Setup: | mostly stock, but larson tt tires (2.0), Mrp Chain Guide, and ODI Lock ons | | Bottom Line: | great bike for the price, will last for the most part | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1295.00 | | Purchased At: | SupahGO | | Strengths: | Adjustability, durability and an incredibly spec'd bike for the price - four bar FSR licensed rear link suspension | | Weaknesses: | I hate any clip in pedals - useless water bottle mount location | | Similar Products Used: | Too many to list | | Bike Setup: | All stock except for tires (WTB Moto Raptor 2.4's) and Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes (8in front rotor) | | Bottom Line: | I have ridden this bike on, over and through everything in the 4mos since I bought it. The G gives me wood every time I ride. It can take what you can throw at it if you aren't a total fatazz. I've done 4500ft climbs and the subsequent 4500ft descent, raced it, stunts, XC, play riding, mud, dry, tight, technical, fast, day in and day out. This bike is the best $1300 I've ever spent. The adjustable front and rear travel feature is sooooo cool! Tune the travel for your ride (and make sure YOU tighten your shock bolts before the ride, ya f-ing dolt) so that the bike works just the way ya like it. Just the way you NEED IT. Piece by piece, Ironhorse does not skimp on parts with this bike. Rhynolite wheels, Truvativ cranks, hayes hydraulic brakes, U-turn Psylo w/tullio, FSA DH Pig sealed bearing headset, Fox shock, Shimano XT shifting and the absolute thickest, meatiest handlebar that I have ever seen (Titec Ringleader) on a mtn bike. They even include a rock ring and front fender with the deal! Just use a real lock washer on THE fender and it'll work fine. This bike eats rocks and craps gravel. You will not be sorry with this purchase. C'mon, be a MAN and hit the G-Spot! She's beggin ya to hit it as hard as you think you can bcz that's the way she liiiiiiikes it!!!! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

I use this bike for a comfortable XC. I have really enjoyed this bike until my last ride. The nuts that connect the shock to the swing arm came out. The bolt that holds it in place is bent as well. I did not get upset until I spoke with supergo for the third time who stated that ironhorse has not called them back. Supergo says they called 2 times. I have called and emailed ironhorse without success. I will probably repair it on my own. I rate it 3 for value as these parts will make it my next bike. Overall a 1 for ironhorse customer care. I got a great price at 1300 dollars .... the bike should last more than 10 rides. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1295.00 | | Purchased At: | Supergo | | Strengths: | The Psylo fork is sweet! the 20 mm axle is cool as hell, and the U-turn thing is reaaly usefull too. Burly frame, awsome components Brakes! | | Weaknesses: | Heavy, bobs when pedaling, Clip in pedal?!?! | | Similar Products Used: | Uh, kona Stinky, Cannondale S-V 700. not really similar but... | | Bike Setup: | stock right now, platform pedals. | | Bottom Line: | This is not a cross country bike. Im sure if you dropped the front and back suspension all the way it would be ok, but the tires are still too fat. if you had a spair set of tires, you could probably use it though. where this bike really excels is downhill and freeriding. It would make a great dual salom bike, or with a little work, a full fledged DH racer. It is very stable in the air and is great for freeriding. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Syracuse,NY Date Reviewed: September 15, 2002 | | Duration Product Used: | 6 months | | Bottom Line: | This is a update from when I first got the bike in the spring. In that time I have found the frame to be on the weak side. I cracked mine at the rear bottle mount. It was replaced under warranty but that one is now doing the same thing. The Psylo fork started to come loose in the crown. Rock Shox fixed it, but it is not up to the task of freeride. especially if you are a heavyweight. The rest of the bike is great. I had to go to a 800# spring for my 200# weight and that seems about right. The wheel set is good just needed a few tweeks, brakes are great, drive train is great, (just make sure to run the spacers in your pedals!). I would would still recommend this bike to anyone. For the money you really can't go wrong. Even if I change the frame I have the parts to make a great bike. Hopefully Ironhorse will change the frame design to fix the seat stay problem. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

I shopped a lot and other brands with similar specs are $1,000+ more. This is a great freeride value--excellent on chunky downhills and jumps. I wouldn't recommend it for xc riders (heavy climber). No regrets. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1295.00 | | Purchased At: | Supergo.com | | Strengths: | THIS BIKE IS THE BEST VALUE EVER. The components and frame are typical of bikes costing over $1000 more. The Psylo's travel adjustment is cool and the hayes hydraulics are the best. The TruVativ Hussefelt cranks are very solid and the Shimano/SRAM drivetrain won't fail. Overall, an impressive frame and component package | | Weaknesses: | None-the bike's weight is typical of this kind of bike. | | Similar Products Used: | Trek, GT, K2 | | Bike Setup: | Stock-maybe upgrade to Marzocchi Junior T. Pro in the future and platform pedals. | | Bottom Line: | If you're considering any other bike stop it and get this one. The frame seems to be very high quality and is semi-monocoque. If you buy it from supergo you can save a lot of money and probably $500-$700 off what everything would be individually. Don't listen to anybody who disses this bike because they are obviously nuts. If you want a bike that isn't too heavy to race with and is burly enough to do DH and freeride you should check it out-it's also a good all around trail bike. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Lots of cushy travel. High Roller 26x2.35 tires are awesome. | | Weaknesses: | Very poor paint quality on frame. Weighs in at 38 pounds (Large). THE fender mount is a stupid design. | | Similar Products Used: | Compared it to Speacialized FSR Enduro Expert and Giant XTC NRS-1. Iron horse was a much better value | | Bike Setup: | Stock | | Bottom Line: | Great bike for a weekend warrior like me. I wanted a cross-country frame with extra travel for occassional downhill rides. If I were to build a bike from scratch, the G-Spot would be it. This bike is the perfect compromise. The weight is a bit excessive (38 lbs), but for a 220 pounder like me, it's not as noticeable and probably more durable.
On the other hand, the paint is terrible. I have owned the bike for one week and after one serious trail ride, it needs a new paint job! I dropped an allen wrench on the top tube and then brushed the seat tube with my watch when adjusting the rear travel. Both mishaps chipped the paint like hell. I would have gladly paid an extra $15 for powdercoat.
The mounting mechanism on the THE fender is terrible. The compression nut on the top of the "wedge" turns while you try to tighten it from the bottom. You can never get it tight and the fender falls right out of the steer tube. I replaced the stock fender with a DEFENDER front and rear ($25 for the pair). | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1500.00 | | Purchased At: | Supergo | | Strengths: | Great bike for the steep and rough. Though with the fork cranked down to 80 mm it climbs suprisingly well dispite the heavy wieght. Super strong braking and plenty of suspension. | | Weaknesses: | Up grading the psylo fork with a lock out or full rebound dampining would have been key to making it a better climber. Had to replace the seat post for a longer one to get full leg extension for a 6'1 guy. (even with a large frame). Last, it has some really lame stickers that immediately went into the trash. Though, the G-SPOT logo stayed. It makes me feel pretty cool. | | Similar Products Used: | Specialized Big Hit. | | Bike Setup: | All stock except seat post. Had to special order it because of odd diameter (29.5 mm). Moved rear shock further back for more downhill riding. Still seams to claim well, and stiffens the too soft stock settings. | | Bottom Line: | Great bike for the price. Roughly $600 less than the Specialized Big Hit with similar componets. Trails and hills more than rideable with this bike, though it really shines on the decends. All and all this bike has taken everything I've thrown at it and more. I would definately recommend it for someone looking into aggressive decends without giving up the trails and claims. Just don't expect to beat your buddies on hardtails to the top. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1435.00 | | Purchased At: | Supergo.com | | Strengths: | Frame and Parts - Truvativ Cranks , Hayes Hydro Brakes , Sun Rhyno Lite XL Rims , Maxxis Tires , durable strong frame with a good warrenty , can easily handle a 7 inch fork. Awesome smooth suspension which you can still climb with. Awesome Value! | | Weaknesses: | Some might find this a weakness and since not everyone is like the majority of buyers of this bike the 32-33 lb weight may be a turn off to you. I have no problems climbing anything i could before i find i even have better traction. Just take it easy freeriding is not a race. | | Similar Products Used: | Trek Y-Glide , Demoed a Giant Ac-2 ( was gonna get it till I noticed the G-spot was 600 dollars less with similar or the same parts) | | Bike Setup: | Mostly Stock for now I need to choose between a Boxxer , Sherman Slider or Junior T for up front. I've swapped out the pedals to Haro Big Block Magnesium Flats. | | Bottom Line: | This bike will change the way you ride and what you can ride. Things that seemed far out of your riding spectrum seem easy with this bike and you will scare your family, friends and riding buddies with the things you now attempt.
- Awesome Customer Service and Quality of Bike. - Priced well below larger companies Freeride Bikes. - Can take a huge amount of punishment. This is the type of bike for you if your rides include trying things just to freak someone out and you like dropping off of big stuff with little penalty to your body. This bike is also for you if you'd like to try your hand at Downhilling or want some instant courage to clean sections you never could on your old bike. $1200.00 | | Purchased At: | Supergo | | Strengths: | This bike has more, more of everything. Brakes, gears, suspension, control. Lots of bang for the buck. Something about the design lends to big chainring pounding on the road or trail. Digs in great for those technical climbs. | | Weaknesses: | Heavy and kinda lightly sprung. Delivered with uncomfortable saddle, bar, and stem combo. The seatpost needed to be replaced and it's a funky size 29.8. | | Similar Products Used: | Haro EX-2, Rocky Mountain Race Element | | Bike Setup: | Changed out riser bars for flat ones, Flite seat, flat longer stem. | | Bottom Line: | This bike is a blast to ride. I have never cared for Rockshock stuff, but the Psylo has changed my mind. Very plush and stiff. The though-axle causes lots of transportation headaches, but the performance is worth it. Not the greatest XC race bike, but it does make a wonderful expedition bike and free ride thrasher. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
