Date Reviewed: January 10, 2003
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:Alan's Family Bike Shop
Strengths:Lightened FLATLAND frame w/ 19.25" top tube. Sealed 14MM Haro Turbine FREECOASTER (ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY - allows the bike to roll backwards without the pedals engaging and "back pedaling"). Odyssey Evolver brakes and 99er Kevlar Seat. PROVEN GEOMETRY which has been refined over 15 years. NEW peg designs rocks, light and TRULY USABLE.
Weaknesses:Bars feel uncomfortable. HARO needs to bring back the ZERO OFFSET fork. Sprocket is too large, needs to be a 28 or smaller.
Similar Products Used:Haro M6, Quamen Clad, Hoffman EP, STandard Tao
Bike Setup:New Master Full Chromoly frame and fork, w/6mm dropouts (thickness). Haro Chromo aheadset 1 1/8" w/ACB lower bearing. Haro alloy 32 sprocket. Haro Fusion tubular chromoly cranks, 3 piece, 160MM (EXCELLENT SIZE). Haro KNEESAVER 2k handlebars. New M Extension 35mm reach stem. Haro Turbine freecoaster, sealed, 14mm axle, 12t one-piece cog & driver (ONE OF THE BEST DESIGNS). Odyssey Evolver U-brake front & rear. Odyssey Modulever brake levers. Odyssey 99r kevlar seat. Haro 50mm ground round alloy axle pegs front & rear.
Bottom Line:I just received my M7 from Haro and all i can say is WOW. I had been heavily debating going with another HARO or switching to a Quamen, but LET ME TELL YOU THIS FRAME GEOMETRY IS INCREDIBLE!! Like many riders these days i was concerned about the 19.25" top tube, however HARO has a great combination of angles and sizes creating one of the most natural FLATLAND bikes around. I miss the GROUND ZERO forks, those would only add to the handling of the bike.

Personally i cannot say enough good things about this bike. I am a huge fan and so should you be. If Chase Gouin designs his DIVIDUAL frame using the same geometry then you know it must work. Hats off to Chad Degroot (HARO pro Flatlander) for refining a winning desing and making it even better.

GO BUY THIS BIKE!!
