Date Reviewed: February 28, 2009
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $270.00
Purchased At:C-Team Cyclery
Strengths:Really fast! The crank allows for unparralleled speed. The frame is outstanding in durability and strength. All of the stock parts are premium.
Weaknesses:If I had to think of a weakness the only thing I could think of is that I`d prefer a better chain guard than the clear plastic one that I got. I would prefer a steel or aluminum one or none at all.
Similar Products Used:GT Dyno, MOSH, Redline, and Diamondback (are only a few bikes that I`ve owned).
Bike Setup:I have everything set up the same as I bought it except that I removed the chain guard.
Bottom Line:The bottom line is: I love my Haro. I would kill someone over that bike. I`ve taken good care of it and it still rides the same as I bought it 5 years ago. If anyone wanted to argue about which bike is better I would say Haro, and regardless of anyone`s claims that there is a better bike I wouldn`t believe them. Thanks.

Favorite Trail:where ever we dont really have trails here
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $20.00
Purchased At:my friend andys
Strengths:very very very light, nice size for racing, good set up
Weaknesses:the one piece crank, and tires, and seat
Similar Products Used:haro backtrail x1,2,3,4, mirra 540 flare, and many others
Bike Setup:3 piece haro crank off a 540 flare, maxxis holy roler tires(awesome grip awesome price) stem off a 540 flare, haro slim bars9awesome bars and stem is much better then stock, soon to have a king head set, different seat cuzz stock sucks, no breaks new paint job powder coated black
Bottom Line:what happened is my friend owned this bike first he payed around 350-400 and the bike was stolen and he got compensation from the kid and bought a 540 flare and then the SR turned up in bad shape missing originol handelbars and the tensioners were messed up and couldent keepthe chain on the sproket so i took the boke and rebuilt it w/ the parts from the 540 flare cuzz he bought a x4 and this bike is quite possibley the best lighest fastest bike i've ever owned,if you want a good bike for anything that you do this bike is perfict it may just need some mod.'s depending on what its used for. ive been told aluminu, bikes are bad for jumping b/c the welds will crack and the axels are to small i havent broken a weld or even bent an axel and ive done 6 ft drops onto cement

Favorite Trail:the one I haven't ridden yet
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $280.00
Purchased At:helen's in arcadia
Strengths:lighter, snappy aluminum frame, integrated tensioners, tektro v-brakes, acs freewheel
Weaknesses:hard and skinny seat, cheap sprocket, 1-piece crank, the holeshot tires don't have much grip and wear fast
Similar Products Used:haro backtrail x2(?), d'back rfx, redline double x, gt power series, d'back joker
Bike Setup:s&m pitchfork, voxom tubular 3-piece cranks, voxom single wall rim, odi ruffian grips, xs pedals, otherwise stock
Bottom Line:this bike is great for a pro-sized rider looking for a bike to race and ride trails and maybe even super-light duty street riding. some of the stock parts will probably needed to be upgraded, but still, this is a great bike to learn the basic skills of bmx riding. the only thing that may cause a problem to some riders is that the chainstay is fairly long, making it hard to reach the sweet spot for manuals, however, the bike is very stable in the air and on the ground. If you've got the cash, this is a great bike to get started on.

Date Reviewed: September 1, 2002
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $350.00
Purchased At:The Bicycle Source
Strengths:The haro sr 1.0 is one of the lightest bikes on the market, and is verry strong and well built, i have used the bike for 2 years and it is still intact, also i love the tectro brake system(the best)
Weaknesses:a flimsy but light sprocket and petals are plastic when you first get them
Similar Products Used:I have used a mirra 540 air and some redlines(all very heavy)
Bike Setup:my bike is set up funny because i hat to pin my handel bars because my stem has no more grip on the inside
Bottom Line:I love my sr1.0 and it is byfar the best bike i have ever had, or riden for that matter. i recomend this bike to any one who likes to jump dirt, flatland(need upgrades), or street(also need upgrades).
