from Steilacoom WA Date Reviewed: May 17, 1999 | | Favorite Trail: | Coral Pass | | Duration Product Used: | more than 3 years | | Strengths: | awesome handling, rides like a road bike on flats and climbs, super fast | | Weaknesses: | heavy, and the fact that i have broken THREE, thats right THREE one in two weeks, one in almost a year and one in two months | | Bike Setup: | full XTR, manitou SX(which also broke twice) | | Bottom Line: | Its a good bike, but so damn fragile, i just wish they wouldn't break, but GT is cool about replacing them, the only bad part is that it takes two months to get a new one because they are custom built, so far the '99 one which is made out of Reyonlds 853 is holding up ok. | Overall Rating: |

from Montreal Date Reviewed: May 16, 1999 | | Favorite Trail: | Mt. Ste. Anne | | Duration Product Used: | more than 3 years | | Strengths: | Great in the seat climbing and descending, handles amazing. This all depends on what you got on it as well. | | Weaknesses: | Little heavy for XC Racing | | Similar Products Used: | VooDoo Mambo GT Zasker LE My ORYX Team Issue (XTR) Mongoose Hilltopper SX Kona Explosif Cannondale F1000 (99) | | Bike Setup: | Z2 Atom Bomb XTR Shifters/Lever Magura Brakes Mavic Crossland LX Drivetrain Raceface Cranks Spec. Prolong Revolution Saddle Synchros TI Stem Synchros TI Harcore bar | | Bottom Line: | This is a killer ride for a custom bike.. i have owned it for 3 years and done the upgrades on this one this year... The frame could stand to be a Reynolds 853.. but a little lighter wouldn't hurt.. you can beat the living life out of a GT Psyclone, but you can kill it!!! | Overall Rating: |
