Favorite Trail:Salem town forest
Duration Product Used:Tested or demo'ed only
Price Paid: $100.00
Purchased At:chain of events
Strengths:Frame is super thick boxed chainstays. Very light, good for jumping. Super Boxed chainstays help add durability to the aluminum.
Weaknesses:MADE FROM ALUMINUM!Thats about it.

for dirt jumping:3/8 axles. Not a problem for its intended use for racing, but with the super boxed chainstays it lasts great for jumping.
Similar Products Used:MCS Tracer frame w/ other acessories
Bike Setup:Redline sealed mid BB,44/16 freewheel, 1-1/8" unsealed headset.
Bottom Line:Great frame, nice and light, lasts for dirt jumping due to boed chainstays,BUT IS ALUMINUM.

Date Reviewed: September 12, 2005
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $300.00
Purchased At:eBay
Strengths:Frame, strength, weight & looks
Weaknesses:It's a GT, great product, lousy aftermarket service.
Similar Products Used:Powerlight P61
Bike Setup:Stock 2003 Speed series ultrabox
Bottom Line:Ok I'm going to be the first to admit I'm not a BMXer. So my opinions are pretty much based on nothing. I'm a mountain biker and got a BMX to goof around because I want to improve my skills. Got this bike because it was going way cheap in eBay & it was literally brand new.

I can only compare it to other GT mountain bikes that I own (which is quite a few!). It's about the same weight as a race prepped Zaskar Pro but way stronger, zippier, corners like a slot car & far more fun to ride! Far easier to launch jumps and way less forgiving (comparing to MTBs) on landings. Oh and almost no brakes. If you learn how to push this baby to limit (and keep it there) then you can ride anything off road fast. Any mountain bikers wanting to improve their riding skills , look at BMXers and give these little 20"ers a try. The BMX guys put us to shame.

Date Reviewed: June 9, 2005
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $520.00
Strengths:Frame, just like all of them...
Weaknesses:Everything cept the frame
Similar Products Used:Gt, Haro, Hoffman,
Bottom Line:I'm sorry I bought this bike.

Within the first week the brakes had died on me,
The brake clutch's went from ok to dead,
The Cranks rattled off to hell and it feels like i'm
grinding it to shreds and my wheels don't roll freely.

I don't suggest any Gt product. I'd suggest a Haro or
Hoffman (if you have money to burn), there good for all around vert, freestlye, and dirt! I'm now using a Haro
and the last 2 months it's taken all the abusement, thank
god the dealer took back my last bmx...

Strengths:I own a GT-racing Power Series(1.0)the frame is the worlds #1 heavy-duty frame. it is so reinforced. GT one time dropped ti off of the empire state building and it wasstill in one piece just very bent.No other bike has been this reinforced you have to see for your self.
Weaknesses:not one found........yet....maybe.....not!
Similar Products Used:none, its a one of a kind bike.
Bike Setup:all stock, cuz its the best

Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $670.00
Purchased At:clarksville schwinn
Strengths:Everything. Truvativ race team cranks, You gotta give GT credit for those sweet 13.2 oz forks. also This was my first time usuing an intergrated headset, SDG "I" fly seat railess design i couldn't believe it was an sdg seat! The seat alone is worth $220!!! And i love it. Magnesium pedals are awesome LIGHT 22.3 pounds
Weaknesses:not really a weakness but the grips will wear out after about 13 races or at least start to wear out. But that isn't even the bike, thats seperate, thats grips.
Similar Products Used:one of a kind
Bike Setup:I Will upgrade the forks with bombshell carb's and put a fsa steerer cap into the forks
Bottom Line:As my hommie ross said; If you are serious about racing this is the bike for you. Stumpy took a few wipeouts on it but stumpys crazy as crap! IT ALSO THE MOST BEATUIFUL BIKE OUT THERE don't stare at it too long or it will start to tickle your pickle.

Price Paid: $730.00
Purchased At:Safety Cycle
Strengths:FSA integrated headset,Truvativ racing cranks,GT piston stem.
Weaknesses:Haven't found anything yet.
Similar Products Used:GT powerseries XL, Haro SX pro.
Bike Setup:I'm still not used to clipless pedals on a BMX, so I got a pair of Shimano DX (flats), I may upgrade the seatpost with a Thomson.
Bottom Line:I love the Ultrabox, it accelerates very fast, Superlite and looks beautiful, a true race machine. If you want to start winning at the track, this is the bike for you. Randy Stumpfhauser and Andre Ellison ride it. Best racing bike out there.
