$420.00 | | Purchased At: | Doug and Marions Cyc | | Strengths: | I have the 2004 version, but the concepts should be the same...
Very good bike. strong frame, will last through anything. I really like the big rims on the tires, will not bend when hopping and will take a lot of abuse at 85p.s.i. in the tires. Gyro brakes are really nice. will pull wheelies well and is really good for flatland. | | Weaknesses: | The brakes don't stop immediately, but I don't mind that. DO NOT TAKE THE BIKE APART unless you are HIGHLY skilled at what you are doing. I know my way around some bikes but I still screwed up the bearings and now it's a $100 job to repair. I went to a bike shop to see about a new freewheel (because the stock one is cheap and doesn't spin well under chain pressure) and he looked at it but couldn't do anything about it right then. so I rode it home and realized that the rear wheel was loose, so I tightened it up. I rode it again and the bearings were making a horrible rubbing and grinding sound. I took it all apart and re-greased the bearings... but that didn't help, and then the whole wheel locked up. I took it to the bike shop where I bought it from and he took a look at it and said that the bearings carved into the axle and hub, so he replaced my axle and bearings but it still makes the horrible grinding sound. so now (hopefully today) I will get my bike in for a new wheel ($80). and that should be the end of that. I also bought a new front sprocket and regreased the bearings, and now it's making slight grinding sounds so I haven't ridden it since as to not damage it. Before I did a full re-grease job on my friends cheap Hyperbike, and it works beautifully, but it doesn't work on the expensive ones. so just don't fix it yourself unless you REALLY KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING! | | Similar Products Used: | Hyperbike (I forget the name, but it's cheap and bought at Canadian Tire) | | Bike Setup: | new 31t Sprocket, will have replaced rear assembly (lol) | | Bottom Line: | It's a very good bike, built perfect at stock. just watch out when you start messing around and replacing stuff with the mechanism. leave it to the professionnals when something goes wrong! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$320.00 | | Purchased At: | A Shop | | Strengths: | Tough as guts and it can take a fair beating. The rims are great even though i had to get them respoked because of some dick head with dinky pegs. The brakes are okay if you set them up good. Good stability and a good alrounder | | Weaknesses: | i've had a heap of stugg replaced on my bike(mostly because of me):rear brake callipers, grips(shoking) Brake leavers(weak), respoked rear rim, new chian tensioners(weak as), Some of the cabling, rear kog and crank bearings replaced 3 times(didn't fix the roblem. | | Similar Products Used: | nothing | | Bike Setup: | Dirt | | Bottom Line: | It's a great bike overall even though i have had some bad luck with it and secondly u have to fidle around with trying to get the best out of the brakes. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$200.00 | | Purchased At: | ? | | Strengths: | 3 pc crank, 14 mm axles, seat. its strong and i havent broken anything on it. | | Weaknesses: | BRAKES! Take the gyro off because they make your brakes bad. then just use a cable in the back and the tires will be able to lock up. HEAVY. remove the front brakes and leave pegs on only if you actually use them | | Similar Products Used: | hoffmans cheapest bike, huffy half ton, and free agent trail bikes. | | Bike Setup: | poverty 36 tooth crank wheel, new grips, removed gyro, new grips, and heavy duty tubes. | | Bottom Line: | Its a decent bike for the money. I would suggest going to dicks ore sports authority to find it cheap. The compopnents are awesome but the frames is a bit heavy. Good for beginners. It can be dropped, kicked, thrown and wont break. buy it if you see it under 200. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$200.00 | | Purchased At: | Prospect Bikes nd Trains | | Strengths: | Nice cro-mo frame, Comes with 4 pegs, Very strong Stock wheels comparet to many bikes for the price even more expensive bikes, has a pretty nice fork and love the threadless headset, the tires have good grip, the rear hub is sealed, has some indestructable crancks and nice large pedals with alot of grip to land on unlike most of the new bikes comming out. Its a gt not a haro, My brakes work grat with a little bit of work there great, has a nice gyro | | Weaknesses: | Unsealed front hub, heavy crancks, weak spokes the spokes came pretty loose when i got my bike but thats easly fixed maybe its just my bike casue the store i bought it from is very crappy | | Similar Products Used: | Hoffman rythm EL2, kink defender, and a "haro" backtrail x2(very unrealiable bike no offence to anyone), Freeaget | | Bike Setup: | Got new grips 3 times not sure wt kind no more, have 2 Redline FReavy-V tires, Some Dimondback 2 pice bars, Got some Snafu pedals, New brakepads, a new snafu seat, and am currently working on getting a new crancks. | | Bottom Line: | Overall this is a great bike no matter what some people might think about GT much better than many Haro bikes it is not that heavy compared to some other bikes. Jumps or ramps or anything easly, one of the easiest bikes to pull manuals and wheelies and very easy to balance on. It comes with some great wheels i listed basicly everything i can think of so i can give everyone a good review i listed bad things since i dont belive that there is a bike without weaknesses eaven a pro bike or frame has a weakness. This bike is great with a little bit of work and money it can be on top of many bikes out there and with a little bit ot worka dn mioney it can become even lighter and more able to take abuse. So if ur looking at a bike around 200 Please save your self the headache and dont get any haro bike Gt's are great anything but haro please. I dont mean to offend anyone by this remark if i did i am very sorry and enjoy biking | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Very think paint on it so it doesn't scratch.
