from Sacramento Date Reviewed: March 11, 2003 | | Duration Product Used: | Less than 1 month | | Strengths: | Low bottom bracket, short chain stay, nice paint job, clear coat over stickers, light | | Weaknesses: | Integrated headset - The only reason i am mentioning this is because most people like to have option of using specific parts. It is a canecreek headset that is really smooth | | Similar Products Used: | Haro, Alliant, Cheeta | | Bike Setup: | Answer carbon scythe forks, crupi (cranks, bottombracket, chain ring) profile mini cassette hubs, t-1000 rims, marwi ti spokes, primo slics, 959 shimano clipless pedals. | | Bottom Line: | The handling of this bike is incredible around the turns. I never really believed in the theory of having a low bottom bracket(10 inches), but after seeing my 8 year old son take turns on this bike versus the other three frames, is like night and day. The chain stay on most junior frames run about 13 1/4 at the minimum and the GT is 12 3/4. The frame is really light too. Great geometry on this bike. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
