$35.00 | | Purchased At: | The Sports Authority | | Strengths: | its been a while since i rode it, it had some cool barbwire graphics, and it saved my life | | Weaknesses: | dorky, but its a budget helmet, also doesnt have the best vents, well, they suck | | Similar Products Used: | giro torrent, eclipse | | Bike Setup: | was a mongoose 40lb 2 inch travel bike at the time | | Bottom Line: | back when i was a newbie and riding xc on a 40 pound piece i was slammin this downhill at about 25 and got airborne on some freakin water washout spot while still pointed downhill, lost my bike to my left and landed on my right, the right side of my head that is, and my shoulder. it was nasty, sprained my shoulder, flipped over, and smacked the ground again. i got a badass concussion, couldnt remember anything, and cracked the helmet down the right side just 2 inches from the middle. i had landed on a rock, if i didnt have this thing on i would be dead no doubt, nice dent where the rock hit, nice protection where my head wouldve hit. im so glad i had this thing, its not the greatest, but if u need something cheap and ur not racing go for this! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$35.00 | | Strengths: | Cheap Price...35 smackers. | | Weaknesses: | Being a general consumer type helmet, it seems to be made for a wider range of headsizes so the helmet tends to bob around more than others in their equivilent sizes. This was my first helmet | | Similar Products Used: | Not exactly similar, but other helmets I know wear: Briko Twinner for road and Giro Switchblade for mountain. | | Bottom Line: | A no frills basic consumer helmet. I bought this when I was starting out and had no $$$. I used it for road and mountain riding. I would pass on it and for one of the Specialized ones in this price range.
