The ride was a 22 mile ride in the 90+ degree Florida sun on a paved trail. It fit's great has a nice ratchet type system in the back of the helmet.
The airflow through the helmet is great too! It seems to be a nice sturdy well built helmet at a great price.

It would appear that the plastic they're using for the Rock Lock straps on these helmets is very cheap and shoddy. The very first time I put mine on it broke. Just like that.

The brow pad does a good job of absorbing/retaining sweat. Sweat does not drip into my eyes. I have used the visor to deflect branches up and over my head, and no scratches are evident. I left it on top of a pickup. It fell off when we pulled away, and it still looks new. I have not needed to add extra pads to the inside, since the helmet is already comfortable and the foam does not contact my head. I was great for that. However, the more I rode the more the flaws became aparent. If you just go out on weekends for short rides, just ride to work or class, or need a cheap helmet fast, this is the way to go. Remember, higher price does not mean safer. However, If you hammer it after work for two or three hours five times a week in the southern heat, I suggest an up-grade.
I should say this as well, Agee's is the worst bike shop, the service sucks. I don't even think the people who work there ride.

This helmet is much lighter, fits way better, and stays much cooler than the Torrero which sells for the same price. I think this helmet replaces the Torrero and it's a definite upgrade. The new Acu Loc system is actually an on-head adjustable band that goes all the way around you head, not just in back like the older designs.
