Submitted by Seth Jacobs a Racer from Rochester,MN USA
Date Reviewed: February 11, 2000
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Strengths:Giant uses a CU92 AL tubing on the frame. Myself being 200 lbs, has thrashed this bike frame. The bike begs for more. Strong light frame, pit on a 3 pice Profile crank, some Shimano Dx components. Now there is a light weight strong fast Bmx race bixe. Great bike for the for the rider who is in to Bmx
Weaknesses:The handle bars are to tall and wide, the stem bolts are accesed from the bottom of the stem. The first thing replaced on this bike was the bars and the stem. Not a good beginner bike
Similar Products Used:Gary Fischer, Dolph and Cleo Moto
Bike Setup:Redline forklifter bars,Crupi 6 shotter stem, Robinson sprocket up frount(42t),a 18t sprocket an the Shimano rear hub. and one custom powdercoat.
Bottom Line:This is one of the best race bikes i have evre ridden. Out of the box it is race ready. Acouple hundred extra bucks and you can have one of the best bikes at the track. The frame is light yet tough. Clipless peaddles, 3 pice crank, Dx components. Only $650.00 new, try to put together a race bike that nice cheaper.....havent seen it yet.f you are into Bmx and are look ong for the next level look for the name Mosh.
