Purchased At:
Perpectual Motion Bikes
Strengths:
Great frame, shifters and front suspension (SR Suntour). Tires very good for downhill riding
Weaknesses:
RIMS, very weak. Cranks? Creaks real bad when hammering up hills. Unknown origin even at bike shop. Rear Shock setup is terrible. Bottom Bracket built into rear triangle making for highly inefficient pedaling. This was corrected on Later Warp models
Similar Products Used:
Trek 830
Bike Setup:
Stock with new tires and rebuilt rims
Bottom Line:
For the price, this has been a great bike and I could not have asked for more from a first full suspension bike. It is clearly a downhill bike and I will upgrade because I want do more cross country riding. However, I have truly abused this bike and it is still runing strong. Not good for cross country riding but handles very well on downhill runs. I weigh 225lbs. and this bike supports me very well. The only thing I had to do was tighten the rear shock so it would not budge unless I made a rough downhill landing, probably ruined the spring but absolutely worth it. Cheap conponents and rear shock should be expected at this price range. This is not a conpetition bike but will take any abuse a recreational rider can put it through. Frame-Outstanding. Overall, this is been worth every dollar paid.

This bike is good, not too expensive and easy to tune up. I use this bike for 5 years now and I have never encountered a problem. I removed the heavy suspension, seatpost, bar, stem and wheels into better parts.

Weaknesses:
The heavy front fork
Similar Products Used:
For me, there is nothing similar to this bike. This is a "one and only" bike
Bike Setup:
Rock Shox SID SL, Thomson Elite Stem (100mm), Easton EC90 Monkeylite SL Composite Bar, Easton CT2 Composite Seatpost, Shimano WH-M535 wheels, Tioga Factory DH 2.1 tires, Shimano XTR parts
Bottom Line:
This bike is not expensive, because of the cheap parts that you have when you buy this bike (new) in the shop. It's more a beginners bike, but you can always easily tune this bike up. I use this bike for 2 years now, with many pleasure and I never had any problems. The frame is still as good as new. Buy it. This is truly a great, awesome bike.

IT HAD A COMFY SEAT AND GOOD BRAKES FOR A WHILE. THE FRAME LOOKS ALL RIGHT AT FIRST. GOOD FOR YOUNG KIDS AND PEOPLE WHO DONT RIDE HARD VERY OFTEN.
Weaknesses:
COMFY SEAT BROKE AND SO DID THE BRAKES, CHEAP PARTS, I OWNED 1 FOR 6 MONTHS AND CRACKED 4 FRAMES. ALSO I SNAPPED THE REAR END OFF A TREK 8900SL THERE REALLY WEAK ALMOST AS BAD AS THE WARP. IT ALSO HAS STRANGE GEOMETRY.

The bike really pleased me for a while when i first got into mtb, but once the problems set in i was really angry. But Giant were really good with the warranty, and in the end they gave me an atx 800 team frame, it was great cause i was only 11 now that im 15 i own a GT lobo which aint to shabby.

its a great fram for the money. very strong, catches peoples atention. great geometry for duel slalom. can be mad into a very nice bike

Bike Setup:
tru vative hussifelts, noleen chubby fork (5inch travle)shimano xt derailer, titec stem, azonic riser bars.tioga tires and sunn rims I set it up for duel slalom and free ride. I brok every origanal part on it
Bottom Line:
If your a beginer looking for a cheep bike that has a nice frame that can take a good amount of abuse than this is a good choice. it looks realy cool and the frame can handle drops up to 7 feet. but count on spending alot to give it a compleat over haul once you thrash all the parts. I raced duel slalom for a year with it and took it of almost any drop I could find and it lasted for a year and a half untill I snaped the frame. its a great beginer free rider its able to be dirt jumped and it works well with a f=5 inch fork on it. it can be made into one sick bike though I had alot of fun with it and I liked it alot.I only gave it 2 chillies because the only thing that you wont break on this bike is the frame but once you get it set up with nice components it can hand alot this is coming from someone who has riden for a long time and can break any thing. if you can find one buy it.

this bike is good for the price that I got it at but you have to be prepared to invest several hundred CDN. and admit that you are basicly striping the frame for the frame. Hasn't let me down yet, rides well in the North Shore and is an excellent decending bike as well as a good climbing/ xc bike for a 180lb. 15 year old who is trying to destroy everything in the trail including the bike.

I hate this bike, aside from snapping, it flexed all over the place. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEYbuy a real bike, not a tin can.thumbs up to giant for helping me out with a kick ass atx900 frame though.

it look like has dual suspension, very special, and price isn't expansive. Person can easy to go on the seat. But person can't take the water bottle easiler, it set lower than general bike. and we can't put somethine in down tube. like light battery in there. becoz it is too thick. Just my opinion.
