Price Paid: $300.00
Purchased At:aries cycles
Strengths:since i put a bigger shock kit on it the bike has turned into a down hill bike, instead of 2" I have 5 inches. this bike is as solid as a rock, iv ran it into trees, rocks, had the worst wipe outs of my life on that thing, havent broken anything yet. very cheap money
Weaknesses:heavy for it sice
Similar Products Used:none
Bike Setup:marzocchi dirt jumper, deore, 5th element rear shock, michelin tires
Bottom Line:its a great bike for the price, it holds up to just about anything. I recomend this bike to a less than 5' tall rider that wants a inexpensive bike to start riding with.

Price Paid: $400.00
Purchased At:True Wheel
Strengths:Very nice suspension lasts forever i had it for about 4 years and took it to the shop 3 times for 2 bent rims and the rear derailleur was acting up very solid bike
Weaknesses:pretty heavey, the front fork wasnt adjustable but i could live with it, the grip shift i didnt prefer i like rapid fire better
Bottom Line:This is a solid bike. If your on a budget then get this bike it will last forever. I bought it a while back and had gotten a MGX from wal-mart that sucked it broke in like 3 days. The bottom line is Buy this bike

Submitted by Reed a from New Jersey
Date Reviewed: January 7, 2003
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $350.00
Purchased At:Bike King
Strengths:Looks like a real mountain bike shrunk down.
Weaknesses:Heavy
Similar Products Used:None
Bike Setup:Stock
Bottom Line:When my little guy wanted a bike like dads, I found the choices very limited when looking for a full suspension. I found this bike and was very pleased. Fit and finish is very nice. The bottom line is that my son is happy. I think this is a smart move by Gary Fisher as it builds brand loyality. After 2 years the bike is still in great shape and all the components work like they should. Looking for a starter bike for Junior? Check this out. 4 chilis for value and 4 for overall because it could be lighter.
