Date Reviewed: June 20, 2002
Favorite Trail:Jumping
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $200.00
Purchased At:Bike Line
Strengths:every thing i storng, i would have to say the front tire and th frame are the strongest
Weaknesses:there is really nothing weak on this bike
Bottom Line:I've had my Mr. Skinner since I was 10 years old, which was 5 years ago, and nothing major has broken on it only the brake spring broke (which was simple to fix). The day I bought it the guy said that I would break my arm before I will pop that front tire and 5 years later I still have not had to fix it. The Mr.Skinner to me is the best bikes ever made. I plan to keep it for a long time. I think that some one who is gotin to race should get this bike. it is lite, and hase what I call, alote of tork, this bike to me is the fastes take off bike that I have ever owned.

Submitted by Joey P a Weekend Warrior from New Haven, CT
Date Reviewed: April 10, 2002
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Strengths:This bike has a really strong frame, fork, and is structurally indestructible. Oversized axles.
Weaknesses:SOOOOOOOOO Heavy, Rims stink, i went through 3 wheelsets in a year.
Similar Products Used:Mongoose Expert Pro, Haro Group 1, GT Vertigo(i think... its a step below performer... right?) Trek Submission, i've owned tons of BMX bikes.
Bike Setup:Hmm lets see. Araya Wheelset, Dia-Comp 990 up front w/ brake plate. Salsa grips (for mountain bikes, but work great) Chain tensioners, Poverty pegs, Primo V-Monster Tires... the list goes on
Bottom Line:Awesome bike if you can put some money, or at least some good parts into it. Buy a lock, it got stolen a few weeks ago... Now someone has a real Phat ride. Not a bad price, Gary Fisher makes excellent frames, i have a '99 fisher Big Sur, and it's been great to me.
