Purchased At:Direct through Funct
Strengths:Very well made, smooth finish, the cnc work is excellent. Everything fits perfectly, screws in smoothly etc which is a good sign of a quality product.

I like how you have the option to change from 45mm to 55mm, very handy if you tend to change between different frames a bit.

Stem height makes bars sit low, I actually use a 40mm rise bar instead of the 20mm i had previously used with a normal stem, which is jut personal preference.

Makes whole front end very stiff and secure. Noticeably more than having a standard crown/stem combo. Lighter than having standard stem as well.

And who can argue that it doesnt look just awsome! Slim, slick and simple. Gotta love good simple design work!

Excellent price for such high quality product!!! Full kit worked out around the $300au, half kit $200au mark.. where to buy just the fox top crown by itself is $190au!! Then add a direct mount stem on top of that is another $130au+.. So is excellent value for a product which is arguably a far better product.

Customer service is i would say the best ive ever encountered. They did a great job of backing up what great product they use and even helped me out with postage which is very much appreciated since Australia is so far away from anywhere!
Weaknesses:The race was a little hard to get on at first.. but once on obviously will stay on! Everything else is flawless!
Similar Products Used:Numerous standard crown/stem combos.. some boxxer direct mount stems but this is first fox40direct mount ive used.

Such a good product that i believe 2 other of my friends are now straight away on the bandwagon in getting the same setup.

I will be taking this setup frame to frame from now on. As it will im sure will last the distance.

Favorite Trail:Morzine, (french alps)
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $180.00
Purchased At:Online official stor
Strengths:Great looking, stronger, lighter and way better looking than the original fox 40 crowns. The CNC work is impressive, the black and metallic grey color and laser etched graphics are sober and classy and it's only 350 grams stem included. you can adjust 2 different lengths for the stem 45 or 55 on a 0° angle. The position is a bit lower than with a classical stem wich is perfect for DH racing.
Weaknesses:On this headset, the crown race is pretty large and thick
The top crown of my function stuff is gorgeous, it feels strong and fits perfectly, no problem on that part.
I have a little problem with the lower crown : The crown race is impossible to fit on the lower crown, it's a bit too large.

Bike Setup:2007 Intense socom
Bottom Line:Great product for a great price it's as good as a Burgtec for half the price, it looks and feel strong, more precise hard to tell on a few lines but try it you won't regret it.

Great customer service as well. Answer within the day. They helped me with the little issue I had to assemble it on my headset. They offered me great support even in France.
