Favorite Trail:crackhead bob
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $24.00
Purchased At:wooden wheels
Strengths:great footage, it makes you feel like you're on a world cup course (for those of us who'll never be there). the music is great (unlike kranked)... interviews are great.
Weaknesses:none really. umm, it could be longer.
Similar Products Used:transcontinental
Bike Setup:what does this have to do with a video? i could be a beer sippin' fat couch potato who's never ridden a bike before and still like this video...
Bottom Line:this video kicks ass. i used to like the kranked trilogy. now i spend my time watching the two transcontinentals. they're great, the music is a lot better than other videos and the rider interviews are entertaining too. but i have a question... as good a rider as steve peat is, can he get any dumber? the man may be hell on wheels, but if i hear him say one more thing about "big, sharp, gnarly rocks"...

Favorite Trail:Urban to all of VAIL
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $16.00
Purchased At:Local MOTO shop
Strengths:This vid shows the super fast action that defines the World Cup...and I mean fast.
Weaknesses:It is too bad that after watching it ten times I became uninspired. Don't get me wrong, the riding is furious, but the toons w/ short clipped footage makes me want more...and I cannot explain why.
Similar Products Used:Every other vid it seems
Bike Setup:MODO 24's / monster T/ etc. just big and bad
Bottom Line:Get this vid because you cannot find any other worthwhile coverage of the world cup. Nohthing is too big, but it is faster than any of us could ever hope to be.

Date Reviewed: November 22, 2000
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $19.00
Strengths:Shows what the World Cup scene is really like! I didn't know how the racing life was until I saw this video. Some of those DH'rs are a little too fast. Just kiddin', this movie gets better every time I watch it! It makes me wanna grab my two wheel hog and start racin'.
Weaknesses:Short...
Bottom Line:Buy this movie now, or wait for the 2000 season video.

Favorite Trail:Mayonnaise(Gandys Gully)
Duration Product Used:3 months
Strengths:Sick vid. Non-stop DH action. Interviews with the best. It is sick that this vid came out seeming that there is no downhilling on TV here in Adelaide. Bloody TV stations.
Weaknesses:Nil.
Similar Products Used:Many DH vids including the sick Volatile Visions videos.
Bike Setup:Craftworks Moto Link / Boxxer 2000.
Bottom Line:Why can't there be more vids like this one. I hope another one comes out on the 2000 DH season.

Duration Product Used:3 months
Strengths:diggiddy wiggidy phat wacked smacked thwacked and ain't that the schnit!
Weaknesses:it takes to long to rewind and view again. i need a digital version.
Similar Products Used:any episode of the simpsons that doesn't center around lisa.
Bike Setup:yeti fro xtr
Bottom Line:TEC FILMS SUCK!!!!!!!!! you know why? i'll tell you why. if you haven't seen the video, well, the whole reason to see the video is this absolutely b*tchin' little dance that leigh donovan does at the end. but taylor congdon and bryan chaffe, the goes who shot the film, the guys who choreographed the music, the guys who did all the work and all the huffin' and puffin' across three continents to get all this footage COVERED THE WHOLE THING UP WITH CREDITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pricks.

Favorite Trail:steep st
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:Behind the scenes from the 99 wc dh season. Great shots too. If you watched the 99 wc dh season on OLN this is a great summary of the season. But some of the camera work is better than OLN and OLN is good. Some videos have great shots of pros but you don't get to see their offbike personas.
Weaknesses:Peat didn't get the #1 plate. The copy I borrowed said $26, thats a bit much.
Similar Products Used:Similar dh videos, I'd like to here of them.
Bike Setup:kent chopper with those stringy things coming out of my grips and a neat bell that goes ching, ching.
Bottom Line:watch it

Favorite Trail:
dirty
Duration Product Used:
less than 1 month
Strengths:
great action
sick moves
good directing and scene setting
Leigh Donovan +Tara Llanes, need I say more
Weaknesses:
most of the music sucks
too many Frenchies
Similar Products Used:
Kranked, Chainsmoke various others
Bike Setup:
Schwinn Moab, Xvert
Cannondale R1000 '98
Bottom Line:Shows racing like it is- speed and pain. Good footage, but as said before, the music kind of blows compared to others like Chainsmoke (still the best). Good air, good crashes and a lot of faced paced competition.

This is the best Mountain Bike Video made so far! Tons of sick race action and some great freeriding with race pros
Weaknesses:
I wish it had more big air stuff, and sick lines.
