The much anticipated Kranked 4 is here and its non-stop formula of sick and twisted freeriding is raising the dead as the crew at Radical once again pushes the limits of hardcore mountain biking into the stratophsere. Herculean stunts flow nonstop throughout this 16mm masterpice.

This movie has some insane footage, and insane stunts with some of the best freeriders in the world. One great thing about this movies is that it was shot on a VERY high budget. They use state of the art cameras, go all around the world, and have really well thought out camera angles. This movie is pretty long too, and considering how much it cost Radical Films to make the price is considerably low:)
Weaknesses:
There is only two things which i do not like about this video. First- The north shore part is alot weaker then anything on any of the NSX (north shore extreme) videos, i beleive they could have spent some more time on that. Second- If your like me, when you buy a biking video you watch it over and over again, well all the jokes staring Brett Tippie can get a bit anoying after a while... Ive found myself continuesly fast forwarding over them

This movie has GREAT footage for the most part, it is a good quality FREERIDE mountain biking movie. If you prefer to watch riding around the world, seeing exciting cool, yet abstract biking spots i definatley recommend this movie. BUT if you are more into north shore type of riding i would definatley an NSX type of movie instead. The value of this movie is great, but im just disapointed in the shore part.

- Music is much better than previous Movies of the Kranked series. - 3D effects are great. Good work by 'Stu'. - A selection of the best shots taken by Bjorn put in one video. - The video got different styles of riding; Urban, the Shore, Downhill, trial, etc. - Very little dirt-jumping... - Big budget mountainbike-video - Very nice intro... - Inspiring for those with guts... - Nearly 45 minutes!!
Weaknesses:
- Some people don't like the Tippie stuff, IMHO it wasn't that worse. - The chasing scene on the crowded market in Morocco was irresponsible and dangerous, furthermore there was one moment which some people may find offending. - The videos are too expensive, not that I don't understand why.....

Bottom Line:
Well I haven't seen New World Disorder, but I can certainly imagine things getting more hardcore. I still like watching it because hey, they're mostly pretty good riders and they're getting to ride in a lot of novel places. It does need to be longer though, even if it means more "ordinary" riding. What I really liked was that I felt 4 focused a bit more on legitimately good riders (while 3 tried too hard to include any random guy that could drop a ledge). I would rather watch freeriders with good form than just big drops and ugly landings over and over. Wade's awesome as usual; Randy Spangler is a great addition. I wish there was more Wade and Richie Schley. Also, even though a lot of you disagree, I do like the Brett Tippie scenes. They are funny, they keep things from being monotonous, and show they're having fun instead of being stuck on themselves. No need for more poser attitudes in freeriding. But when the overall length is only forty minutes and they have all that time to do humorous stuff they can do more real riding, too. Next time shoot for over an hour! Cool anyway.

Strengths:
Great film work. Even better riding. Even greater riders. Finally something over 35 minutes :)
The scenes with the Shore, and both Quebec scenes were awesome.
Weaknesses:
Definately the soundtrack. Bjorn could've found more suiting music to fit the scenes. Although Powerman5000's remake of Let the good times roll is awesome.
I would've loved to have seen more of the woodlot or shore stuff instead of the skits. More urban too, its highly under rated I think. Also if Ryan Leech called a session w/ his trials buds that'd be cool too.

Bottom Line:
I think it was good film overall. After I watched it, I threw in New World Disorder to compare. I'd give to the belt to NWD. Between the soundtrack and the somewhat repetiveness of Kranked IV, I think it could've been substantially better considering the talent involved in making it. With Wade, Danger, Vanderham, Brian O', and Leech, I would've been happy if they were the only ones it just sessioning the shore, urbans, deserts, all of it... but thats me..
Overall, not bad :)

Strengths:
Amazing DH/Street Trials footage from around the world. The kind of crazy riding we've all come to expect from the North Shore guys. Go Wade, go!
Weaknesses:
What a horrible soundtrack! Here's what you do: you go et yourself a three disc changer, you put in the newest Death By Stereo Record, Roots by Sepultura and anything by Deon and you hit the ol' shuffle button because the guys in from Radical Films can ride like hell, but their music taste is unbelievably bad. The "skit" sequences in this video are only ok, but nothing to get up in arms about. As with all products from these people, they cost too damn much for too little video, but I am just a sheep, buying and supporting them despite their capitalistic ways. I think I'll bootleg it to all of my friends.
Bike Setup:
Full suspension is for wussies.
Bottom Line:
This video is crazy! Period. This is the definition of free riding, and it is damn cool to watch - BUT, it ain't for everyone. I'm mostly a free wheelin' cross country rider, but not all riders of my nature will love this video. Use discretion, grasshopper.

Strengths:
The riders skill and daring. Dangerous Dan, Wade Simmons and Thomas VdH ripping it up on the North Shore.
Weaknesses:
Not enough North Shore footage.
Similar Products Used:

Bottom Line:
Jam packed with the most incredible riding yet seen on video. The chase scenes through Moroccan villages and stuff like that could be dropped in order to show more North Shore riding.
