from essex, vt, usa Date Reviewed: September 7, 2003 | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Purchased At: | lbs | | Strengths: | ruggged, reliable | | Weaknesses: | none yet (possibly weight if it matters) | | Similar Products Used: | none | | Bike Setup: | heckler w/ float RL 125 in front | | Bottom Line: | this shock came stock with a jamis xlt 1.0 i bought earlier this summer. a great component set-up but unfortunately the frame was not so great. after 2 months of trail riding the rear triangle broke. i was able to find a good deal on a heckler frame so switched over the components. i will say it feels like a much different shock on the new bike (little/no bob - thank you s.c.)i've ridden the shock for a summer on two different frames and have abused it to the best of my abilities and it holds up. no maintenance. lock out is a nice feature. this shock is versatile and reliable. i would recommend to anyone who is looking for a trail/freeride shock that kicks ass but doesn't break the bank. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
