The DHX RC4 is a new from-the-ground-up, purpose-built downhill shock specifically engineered to the demands of the world's most brutal downhill courses and the athletes who make them look easy. Externally adjustable high and low speed velocity sensitive damping and a completely redesigned Boost Valve for position sensitive ending stroke control, act independently from each other allowing the rider to dial in the perfect balance of traction, small bump compliance and big-hit absorption.

Directly from Fox
Strengths:
Separate High and Low Compression adjustments.
All the adjustments you need...none you dont.
Weaknesses:
None so far.
Similar Products Used:
DHX 3.0
Bike Setup:
2007 Norco A-Line loaded with 2010 saint group.
Bottom Line:
Lots of adjustment to fine tune your ride gives this shock the edge over the previous DHX models. The RC4 gets rid of Pro Pedal which is completely useless on a downhill specific shock anyway. Having separate High and Low compression adjustment is really handy, but may make things a bit tricky for people new to shock tuning. Unlike other shocks I have tried, when you make an adjustment on the RC4 you actually feel a difference. All in all buy this shock, Im a heavy rider (230) and this takes big drops without a hitch...way to go Fox.
