Favorite Trail:Sage Hills
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $550.00
Purchased At:Arlberg's Sports
Strengths:Frame has nice geometry; lots of details for the money.
The details - braze ons, cable guides, seat post clamp all show more than a littel thought.
Weaknesses:Fork and saddle. Gotta save a buck somewhere.....
Saddle is a little too soft; but at this price point (or my weight) you get what you get. The fork was most dissapointing so far. No lock out, limited pre-load adjustment.
Similar Products Used:Specialized Hardrock disc; Giant Rincon; Raleigh F500
Bike Setup:Changed the stock pedals to Shimano clipless.
Bottom Line:WOW! First, my background is riding roadies. Head down, set the draft line and go. This is a change for me. This bike has the niceties I expect for not a lot of money. I found that the frame fit me best - the Specialized with the arched toptube seemed to pose a threat to the 'groin'. The fork is the one thing I want to change about the bike right now and I am going to thrash it until I save up a few bucks for a better one. Shifts great; the system just flows nicely. Seat post is fairly standard, but there is plenty of length. A very quiet bike - which I like. Took about 12 miles to get the disc brakes worn in and quiet. Disc brakes are great - very efficient at stopping the bike (yes, I have gone over the bars!). My favorite route is about 7 miles; all but 1000m on trails. I am loving it and I think that this frame will be with me for a while - at least through the next fork (maybe two!!)

Price Paid: $350.00
Purchased At:Evans cycles
Strengths:It's light wieght and Durable. The gears are smooth and the brakes work instantly.
Weaknesses:The Handel bars weren't long enough and the supention could be bigger but for the price the bike is a great deal!!!
Similar Products Used:It's one of a kind
Bottom Line:All my mates have bikes thave spent between $1000 to $1500 on there bikes and to be honest with a suspention up grade my $350 Felt is far better it's over all a lot enjoyable to ride and I wouldn't trade it for any of there's

Date Reviewed: December 30, 2008
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $391.00
Purchased At:J.E james cycles
Strengths:Great solid lightish frame, discs brakes do there job very well, and are responsive, nice ride position and saddle comfy, unless your riding all day, gears very smooth.
Weaknesses:Not really any weaknesses maybe some new folks in the future, but at the end of the day they work well.
Similar Products Used:Specialized Hardrock Comp pro
Bottom Line:Very very good all round bike does its job, great to look at with a real nice finish to it, for a £300 bike its not gonna make a difference spending on a 5 to £600 bike unless your a pro. This bike is great.

Date Reviewed: August 21, 2008
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $530.00
Strengths:This bike over all a great bike for the price!
The disk brakes stop on a dime, and the front and rear derailer are of good quality. I also like the tire tread because they grip so well and haven't poped in over 400 miles!
Weaknesses:Have not found any major problems but...
i changed the seat and pedals for my own "personal preference"
Also the grips SUCK!! That was the thing that I was mostly disappointed about.
Similar Products Used:Dimond Back
Trek 6000
Bike Setup:Stock other than for pedals and seat.
Bottom Line:I brought this bike as a impulse buy and I don't regret it one bit. I ride this bike everyday to work and it has never failed on me, which is a HUGE deal for commuters alike. Also great on trails and very responsive. I recommend this for anyone who enjoys bike riding and does not want to go though the hassle of fixing it a lot.
