Date Reviewed: February 11, 2006
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $300.00
Strengths:Wow what a bike. When I told my friends I bought a Diamondback they sort of looked at me funny and said ok... They knew of the reputation of several years ago, and then their trend toward wal-mart quality bikes. Let me say that diamondback is back and really producing great bikes. The frame is stiff and the component selection is better than average for this type of bike. Manitou 6 way is great.
Weaknesses:Reputation for cheap bikes
Reomveable dropouts
Similar Products Used:giant warp
santacruz blur
gt 5.0
Bike Setup:I bought the frame only--avid brakes--manitou fork--sun rims--shimano shifters and cranks
Bottom Line:Diamondback is back and producing some great bikes. Go to your dealer and check them out before your next purchase. They are functional, capable, and worthy of some serious consideration.

Purchased At:hendry cycles
Strengths:the forks are great . the brakes even better , rear shock works everywhere !!!!! stable at high speed . looks very cool !!
Weaknesses:the XT shifters/levers combo are crap, changing gears while braking is a no go.
standard gearing is abit low if you like high speed
Bottom Line:this is a great bike. it handels big hits well, good fun !!!!!!!!!!! i like the Saint brakes, hubs , the cranks are very stiff . rear derailer is just tuff !!!
nicely balanced when in the air. makes you ride better than you really can.
