Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $250.00
Purchased At:Dick's
Strengths:Strong frame, grip shift, can take a beating, good price, shimono two peice cranks
Weaknesses:heavy, no shock, uncomfortable seat, plastic pedals
Similar Products Used:other diamondback bikes like the outback

Favorite Trail:Walnut Creek, Green Belt's Ok too
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:Strong frame, decent components, PRICE!
Weaknesses:Single wall rims (wadaya want for the price?) cheap pedals.
Bike Setup:nicer pedals w/ clipps, bar ends.
I plan to throw some suspension forks on.
Bottom Line:This bike is strong and light for the bucks. I got it on sale for $199.99 with a free $30 helmet. It take a pounding and keeps going. I am 230 lbs. and it holds up great on some tough trails here in Austin.
I highly recommend this bike to folks on a tight budget. The Crom-Moly frame is a perfect entry level bike that can be added to as the wallet permits.

Date Reviewed: June 13, 2000
Duration Product Used:Tested or demo'ed only
Strengths:Seemed like a solid all around bike
Weaknesses:It's rigid, but some people still ride them.
Bike Setup:tested only
Bottom Line:Fun bike to cruise on. It's not a single speed and it's not a true hardcore mountain bike, it's just in between stages.
