Great value for what you pay for. Paint job looks really awesome!! Great geometry; I am on a 20" frame with a 24" toptube, 100mm stem and its a perfect fit. Solid and smooth shifting and I just fell in love with the Reba SL
Weaknesses:None so far.
Similar Products Used:Diamondback Mission 2 08, Tomac Eli 04, Many Schwinn Homegrowns from 97 thru 00 and many more to list
Bike Setup:Stock setup with Sram x7 rear der and deore frt. x5 shifters and sram chain/cassette. avenir handle bars with 100mm easton stem and seatpost. Avid BB5 with 6" rotors and Avid levers: Joytech hubs laced to wtb speed disc rims wrapped w/ WTB Prowler SL 2.1 Tires shimano clipless pedals and Truvativ powerspline BB and 5D Crankset.
Bottom Line:Diamondback is producing bikes now that are so much more than one would come to expect. The 09 line up is pretty sweet. I plan to get a Sortie Black soon. I have been in love with my 2008 mission 2 and still ride it a lot. But I have been itching to get on a 29er and see what was so great. WOW!! I really love it. Can't stop riding. With my new light system I have been riding every day after work. I love this bike and the way it just seem to flow over the rocks and drop a take my mission off of. Sometimes I feel faster on this 29er than my mission, mostly long climbs and such. But I would tell anyone thinking about a 29er under $1500 range to buy it. I have been riding this thing like an all mountain bike and the compents hold up better than I would think, having been a long time shimano xt rider who just switched to x9. This x7/x5 stuff is not to shabby. I really love the smooth and responsive handling of the Reba SL. Really nice Fork. BOTTOM LINE just test one out and you'll be sold. Don't let the Hubs fool you, Joytech makes other company hubs like Real Design!! and such, Just a little insider info. They really do hold up and yeah not a light as some wheel sets, but a great upgrade later I say.
