from Texas Date Reviewed: September 14, 2004 | | Duration Product Used: | 2 Years | | Price Paid: |
$700.00 | | Purchased At: | Valley Bicycles Chatsworth | | Strengths: | Low price. Wide tires can handle rough roads. It was easy to mount the baby seat as the bike has points to attach a rack. | | Weaknesses: | Sometimes makes clicking or knocking noises and screws have to be tightened. This is not a road tandem, it is a comfort tandem. It is built for comfort not speed. | | Similar Products Used: | None | | Bike Setup: | Topeak baby seat on rack on back. | | Bottom Line: | I ride this bike with my wife, a 4’9” Filipina (I am 6’0”) , and our baby daughter in the seat in back. We have more than 800 miles on this bike, and since the Spring have been out almost every weekend on organized rides in North Texas. We usually do the 40 – 50 mile rides.
Previously in California we would ride the beach bike trail from Will Rodgers State Beach to Redondo Beach.
This bike is loads of fun and helps keep us fit. Given our disparity in size there aren’t many ways we could exercise together but this bike solves the problem.
I would highly recommend this bike to a family that wants a low cost Tandem.
