Though, it might be an issue of a used rim as well. But these pads don't squick, have excellent stopping power. What else do you need? Overall, I like them. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

And I haven't had any squeaking | | Weaknesses: | They scratched up my rims. | | Similar Products Used: | STX-RC pads(demo'ed only) Avid | | Bike Setup: | Rockhopper A1 FS, mostly stock | | Bottom Line: | These pads aren't absolutely horrible. They are not incredibly powerful but don't squeak. But they left these huge scratches down my rims. Grrrr...
Anyway, don't buy these babies unless they sell nothing else... | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

If you talk about a stock pad, they are not horrible, but overall they really stink. They wear down fast as heck and are cheap. They don't grip at all in the wetness and mud that I do most of my riding in. Good thing I am ditching the Dia-Compe brakes alltogether, that should solve all my problems with them... 2 chillis because they don't perform like a good v pad should, but they are cheap, so what should I have expected.... | Overall Rating: |

This review is based on the stock pads on Diacomp 737 V's. Pretty good pads for a stock! Muck up the rims brutally in the stew, but no squeek! Almost worn out, so I'm gonna try kool stop thinlines. (this 50 word thing is really bumming me out) 5 flamin rats for a biotchin stock pad! | Overall Rating: |

Good pads except they squeak and have excessive wear. When they are wet they seem to have even more wear to them. Over all they are good considering the fact that they come with the Dia Compe 737's. So I guess based on that, I give them 3 Chilies... my girlfriend agrees. | Overall Rating: |

I used to ride with 987's and these were on them for some reason (maybe it's a Dia Compe thing) and they did not work. I used to use hard anodized rims and I couldn't stop with these things. Switching to my other wheels which were plain silver, the power increased a little, but even my non mtb friends thought they were horrible for even riding around the block. I threw them away ASAP and got the ritchey's. | Overall Rating: |

After using a variety of brake pads that either squeaked or seemed like they were sanding my rims down in the mud I tried a set of these gray matter pads. They are far better than any others I tried. They never squeak, or lose grip in the wet stuff. They don't last as long as most of the others but their performance far outweighs that.
