Favorite Trail:Porcupine Rim
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $1.00
Purchased At:came with bike
Strengths:Light, shimano compatible
Weaknesses:Chainrings wear somewhat quickly
Similar Products Used:XT, Specialized, Ultegra, 105
Bike Setup:Supergo Hardtail pieced together with leftover parts
Bottom Line:I have had this crankset for about 5 years and it is quite servicable. I have replaced the ultegra bottom bracket with a Dura ace making this a very lightweight setup. The middle ring wore out pretty quickly but still shifts fairly well. This crank has worked and shifts well. Can be found on Ebay for cheap these days.

Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $2000.00
Purchased At:Came with my F900
Strengths:Light, look good, use CD PCD rings, have lasted me well
Weaknesses:Nothing
Similar Products Used:XT, LX
Bike Setup:2000 F900 with Hope C2s
Bottom Line:Who should buy it - Anyone that wants a quality bit of kit
Who shouldn't - People that do not want something matching the spec.
Why do people knock this product? I think it is quite capable, more so than Shimano.

Date Reviewed: March 15, 2002
Favorite Trail:Tremalzo, Italy
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:fusion
Strengths:None.
Weaknesses:You name it! Flex, loose bolts and crappy cogs. If you're more than 60 kgs, don't bother. - but then again, dont anyway.
Similar Products Used:Raceface, shimano XT, Ritchey and Specialized strongarm 2
Bike Setup:F700 with Raceface crank (at least now) fatty Super, XTR gears and so on.
Bottom Line:This cranck sucks bad. CODA is a disgrace to Cannondales superb frames and forks, I got this carank along with an F700 and changed it almost immediately. Having suffered same problems with a similar crank on my f2000, I decided to give it up. Get something else, this dog doesn't hunt.

Favorite Trail:the globe
Duration Product Used:6 months
Purchased At:lbs
Strengths:MMMMMMM......makes a nice gardening tool......
Weaknesses:Too light to use as a doorstop.
Bolts rattle loose at the sound of music.
Inspires the confidence of a rat in a den of snakes.
Noise....noise....noise....noise.
Similar Products Used:Nothing so deplorable
Bike Setup:Cannondale, lefty, magura, mavic, azonic and yup! profile cromo cranks.
Bottom Line:My first comments are for cannondale(I shall refrain from using expletives)I have been riding cannondales for a long time now. Since 1988, in fact! I still appreciate the engineering involved in your frames and forks. But the errant beef-witted and boil-brained canker-blossom who decided to drive your company into the ground by fitting coda cranks(and other coda products) on your frames should be quartered and drowned or be forced to sell coda to DH riders every day, for the rest of his/her natural life. These cranks have absolutely no redeeming qualities. Post traumatic stress syndrome brought on a bout of temporary insanity resulting in the dramatic purchase profile cranks. Had them on my bmx and now on my mtb. Best decision I have made in a long time. When I buy a new frame I will simply fit the same profiles on the new bike. Cannondale you should sell coda, it's dragging you and your name down. If you got these on your bike grind them to dust, unless you really hate somebody enough you may give them away. I wouldn’t do it to my worst enemy. And if you actually buy them….well, then they are the perfect cranks for you……..

Strengths:none
Weaknesses:everything
Similar Products Used:none this crappy
Bike Setup:cannondale, raceface, mavic, alien, selle, hutchinson, shimano(lx,xt,XTR) easton, spd(747), caad 5,
Bottom Line:these cranks are weak, they flex. I would not be suprised to seee a heavier rider twist off the splines. As soon as i had the money i put on raceface, they are awsome.
