Date Reviewed: November 26, 2001
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $300.00
Strengths:Awesome!! Very light, well made, and they sound great
Weaknesses:Finding the ring drive grease to rebuild the rear hub.
Similar Products Used:XT wheelset
Bike Setup:Jamis Dakar Team, white brothers fork, XT components
Bottom Line:This is the absolute best hub that money can buy. After the initial break in period, they run smooth and true. I ran over the front wheel with my truck, and did not damage the hub at all (destoyed my Salsa Skewer though!!!). I am not suggesting that you run your wheelset over, but by some stroke of good fortune, the hum made it through!!! They will probably be the last set of hubs that I will have to buy!!

Bottom Line:
these wheels are sweet. super high quality, way bombproof not to mention lightweight. these babies built up three cross are just as light as those overpriced, non-servicable, euro-trash mavics. and you know the boys at king stand behind their stuff... but what else did you expect from chris king? only trouble is my buddy wanted a pair so my LBS called up King and they already sold out, suposed to build more up soon. oh well, i got mine.
