Strengths:Looks great and so far feels smooth. I installed headset on Merlin CR Works Ti road bike, and every thing seems fine. Make sure to use anti-seize and ream/face etc. Hopefully the only headset I'll need in my lifetime .
Weaknesses:None, If it holds up like the other King products I've owned.
Similar Products Used:Chris King alloy headset, and Hubs.
Bike Setup:Merlin CR Works.
Bottom Line:Chris King stuff is Awesome !!!!!!

Favorite Trail:anything lift assisted!
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $220.00
Purchased At:ridemonkey
Strengths:Super strong, reliable, stiff. great finish, light
Weaknesses:NONE
Similar Products Used:king aluminums, FSA, misc
Bike Setup:Canfield F1
Bottom Line:Best HS to date, I run a Hopey and dont have to worry about ovalized headtubes as well as I dont suffer the penalty of a steele HS's weight. All around bomb proof product.

Make sure you use ti grease when installing it to keep it from creaking. Other than that its a rocking product, I race, huck, fr and urban and no worries or services needed as of yet.

Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $239.00
Purchased At:LBS
Strengths:I have just one word to describe this headset... DAMN!
Weaknesses:None, unless you don't like to part with money for unneeded luxury.

Similar Products Used:Generic headsets, FSA headset on an old Trek
Bike Setup:see for yourself: http://homepage.mac.com/sjsamaha/PhotoAlbum39.html
Bottom Line:The CK headset made of Aluminum is already universally known as the most robust bike component made today... well, this kicks it up a notch!

btw... works great on my Ti frame, just make sure to use a lot of "TiPrep" and face/ream the frame before you install, no matter how well made it is!

Submitted by albert a from Auckland, New Zealand
Date Reviewed: September 21, 2004
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $250.00
Purchased At:Aspirevelotech of Ebay
Strengths:Aesthetically pleasing
Smooth as knife thru jelly
Light while durable (I have seen 60 grams headset, an Italian brand, but wouldnt count on its durability compare to the Kings)
-What other headset will want to be when they grow up.
-Want to use it to decorate my desk/bookshelf.
Weaknesses:PRICE, well, if you want the best of the best, you have to pay for the price
at times you may look like a poser with lots of money that you dont know where to spend, or how to spend it.
Well, this is what other cyclist will say about it anyway.
Only, and ONLY people who has owned one of this will appreciate how precious they are.
Similar Products Used:Aheadset, Canes
Bike Setup:custom ti frame, Crossmax sl, xtr, fox f100 and....Chris King Titanium headset
Bottom Line:I got this headset from Aspirevelotech on Ebay, (if you are reading this, Michael, Thanks again!), Great service, I live in New Zealand, quite remote area compare to most of you guys, and this dealer delivered the headset within a week after the transaction completed!!
extremely efficient, the packaging and handling was best I have seen, (bought a set of HID lighting from LUME, was pretty amazed with their package)
Anyway, if you want the ultimate. go for it.

Favorite Trail:Aston Hill, Hornton Hill, Wisley.
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $250.00
Purchased At:Aspirevelotech
Strengths:Silky-smooth,
Indestructable,
Looks like a piece of Art and
there is nothing better. Anywhere. Ever.
Weaknesses:I will come back to you on that one in around 30 Years...
Similar Products Used:Woodman Saturn Race, FSA Pig, Chris King NoThreadset (Regular), Cane Creek Somthing.
Bike Setup:Soon to be the greatest BMX around.
Bottom Line:All you need to do is feel the bearings on other Headsets, and compare them to this. Look at the reviews of the Perfected Chris King NoThreadset. Everyone (Apart from those one off liars around), reviewed it as the best buy availible. But with the titanium version, times the life of the regular NoThreadset Headset by around ten because of the titaniumness(A Hundred year old Chris King - It will happen!).
Basically if you want the Royal crown jewels on a bike, this is better. Get it right now, if you can find it.
