Favorite Trail:Road
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $40.00
Purchased At:LBS
Strengths:- Wide beam for LED (as wide as LED can get)
- Long lasting battery
- Sideways adjustability (albeit not much sideways adjustment)
- Use of AA batteries
- Button on the back to turn the unit on is quick and easy to turn on and off.
Weaknesses:- The non-tool mounting kit makes it hard to mount. It's better to just use a screw mount since the mounting would rarely come off my bike
- Weight .. 4 AA is heavy.
- Size.. it's a chunky unit
Similar Products Used:None
Bike Setup:Cheapy hardtail bike
Bottom Line:- Bought it for A$70, better value than the Planet bike 1/2 & 1 Watt verions and a much wider beam of light than Planet Bike versions.
- Good value for its intended purpose. It is bright enough to see where you are going in constant mode, not just to be seen by others.

Date Reviewed: October 9, 2008
Favorite Trail:Buda Hills
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $30.00
Strengths:Super little light that hasn't missed a beep in over two years. Super efficient, the batteries seem to last forever (although this may be because I tend to use the strobe function). Can be easilly detached and used as a hand-held torch. Sturdy construction - it has survived a few spills without being damaged. Great value.
Weaknesses:Not particularly strong for unlit roads and/or off-road.
Similar Products Used:Cateye HL-500
Bottom Line:
A great light for commuting. It will help you to be seen whilst providing minimal light for helping you to see where you are going in unlit streets.
