These pants feature zip-off legs, so you're sure to stay comfortable on the trail--even if the temperature changes.. Ripstop nylon is lightly coated to be windproof, waterproof and breathable; treated to enhance water- and stain-resistance. Stretchy back panel and crotch gusset allow unrestricted mobility; articulated knees mimic a natural cycling position. Removable polyester/Lycra® spandex inner shorts with seamless chamois and leg grippers provide support and padding. Zip-off legs and removable inner shorts make these pants suitable for off-the-bike use as well. Cargo pockets with hook-and-loop closure and drain grommet can carry an energy bar and tools, plus store removed pant legs. Adjustable drawcord waist and ankles with internal straps keep ankle drawcords from snagging.

Purchased At:
Nashbar
Strengths:
Strong, ripstop fabric is excellent; versatility, being able to remove pant legs
Weaknesses:
Poor color, separate chamois avg. at best, price
Similar Products Used:
Castelli shorts and bibs; Trek, Dale, and Nashbar shorts
Bike Setup:
Dale 2001 Bad Boy Ultra
Bottom Line:
These are pretty useful pants, VG for cold weather. I no longer use the chamois, just wear shorts underneath instead. Angle ties allow for pulling up of chain-side leg, avoiding lube. Lots of storage, and good quality material. Saved my butt- literally- during a big pavement fall, got scraped but no tears(rips, I don't mean the crying kind) whatsoever.
