I'm not to happy with this Cannondale mini-pump w/ gauge. The pump head fit is not right on when inserting it w/ the inner tube. The rish of mangling your inner tube valve is very high. It's a bit hard to secure too, so expect air to gush out while you are pumping. The guage does not work since day one. I wish cannondale would replace my pump. I ride an F1000 which is a fantastic product. This pump however, is definitely not one of C-dale's better efforts. I broke two valve stems because of the head angle, which really sux if your 5 miles from your car and sans another spare. (hint: if you only unscrew the valve a little bit you won't have as much trouble with broken stems). The gauge is essentially worthless; mine reads 20psi when my home gauge reads 60. I will give it marks for being tough and capable of pumping up a tire fast for a mini (once you've managed to not break the damn valve stem). First I would like to point out the lack of a velcro strap which says to me: Lose me in the woods on some fire road so the woodland creatures can inflate their tires! This never became a problem becuase i tied it to my frame with a hanky and before that I kept it in my pack. Other than this obvios design flaw (or perhaps money making scheme on the part of cannondale) I didn't have any complaints until it completely crapped out on me. After replacing my street tires with a pair of wtb velociraptors I noticed that it was taking an awfully long time to fill the tube (a brand new and all together flawless HEAVINLY schwinn thorn proof tube). Roughly 417 pumps later I checked and sure enough the pressure was still 0psi and there was air leaking out from the seal in the gauge. Is there a half pepper available? | Overall Rating: |

I love my Cannondale bikes and gear, but this pump sucks. 1. It doesn't move enough air to fill a big knobby without giving you carpal tunnel syndrome. 2. It has a rinky-dink bracket that won't get both clips on to the alluminum barrel- one must clip on the plastic head or handle. 3. It is god-awful heavy for the small measure of pumpability it provides, if you only want a pump for emergencies, a co2 kit must weigh one tenth what this pump weighs. 4. The handle is perfectly designed to trap all manner of crap and grit. 5. It doesn't come with the specially sized pump strap to fit the bracket. In all fairness, the version I bought did have a gee-whiz pressure gauge, but the marginal usability on all the other points means that I am now using what I have used for years: a Blackburn. This pump was a great addition to my bag of riding accessories, it has the conversion for both Presta and Schrader valves, and a thumb lock to keep that pump on the valve. Very small and light, it pumps up a tire from flat in quite a few strokes less than normal mini pumps, and it has a very easy to read tire pressure gauge right on the pump!
My only gripe is the mounting bracket needs a water bottle boss to mount securely, it should have an adjustable frame mount to make it really diverse.
