Strengths:
Really appreciate the bike's stiffness and agility. Feels great on intermediate trails and roads. Short wheelbase excellent for alpine riding. This is a great beginner and intermediate bike. And, it's a good bike for guys like me who are refuges from touring bikes.
Weaknesses:
Rear cassette is only seven gears, but that's to be upgraded to a 9-speed. I'm small, so I have a frame with a funky three-piece crossbar. Can't use large water bottles.

Bike Setup:
Stock.
Bottom Line:
I'm really pleased with the bike and enjoy riding it. I like the front fork and and tight feel. I take it out nearly every night and have brought it on business trips all over the west with little concern about breakdowns.

I got a good deal on this bike and I am happy. Great starter bike for anyone.
Weaknesses:
cheap stem, bar, and saddle but works.
Bottom Line:
Great bike for the money i had. I found a better deal on a Supergo.com on a Univega Alpina 700. Alot better deal. The saddle sucks.

The frame is stiffer than anything, and I got some nice IRC Mythos tires,(not normal spec, I guess), the handlebars
Weaknesses:
The entire drivetrain, the brakes, and the saddle
Similar Products Used:
KHS Crest, GT Karakorem, GT Timberline, Gary Fisher Tassajara
Bike Setup:
Upgraded the brakes to AVID, and Upgraded the enrite drivetrain to Shimano XT, saddle to a WTB SSTX
Bottom Line:
The bike is excellent for beginners who are just starting to thrash their bikes. Great for balance and a good solid climber. Scares me on steep downhills. All in all, I am upgrading to a Fisher Sugar. I raced the C-dale for a year and it took me to high local rankings. Loved it.

Strengths:
The F300 definately has good angles and is an execelent climbing bike. Easily fits in my car.
Weaknesses:
I the cables aren't the greatest and the shifting gets a bit skippy when you get some speed up.
Similar Products Used:
Mongoose NX, GT Rebound, Trek.
Bike Setup:
Icon clipless pedals the rest are all stock.
Bottom Line:
I was really impressed with the product. I would have like a better gear set for the price, but that can be replaced.

Strengths:
It just rides good, the frame has good angles and I swear I have much better balance than my old(stolen) GT Avalanche.
Weaknesses:
The front deraileur is a problem, noisy. I will upgrade it and probably get new chainrings.
Similar Products Used:
GT Avalanche, Specialized Stumpjumper
Bike Setup:
18 Frame, all stock components, Jett T2 fork, STX components.
Bottom Line:
Even though the deraileur leaves a little to be desired, I know I have bought into a good frame and a solid bike. The items I have a problem with are easily upgradeable. I think cannondale has made this excellent frame available by skimping of some of the components. But it fit my price range at the time and it gives me something I can build on.

After much agonizing research and visits to LBS's decided on Cannondale , blinded by name I guess, have rode twice and front deraileur already not shifting properly. Excellent frame and brakes,Coda saddle very comfortable, but I think there are probably alot better bikes in this price range.P.s. On first ride I loved it very fast and responsive, but deraileur that dont shift dont make for riding pleasure.
